Afif and Tristan were abducted by their non-custodial father, Richard Trabulsy, on August 18, 2005. An FBI International Parental Kidnapping warrant was issued for the abductor on August 3, 2006. They are believed to have traveled to Lebanon.
The abductor, Richard Trabulsy, was born in 1963. He is a Caucasian male with blonde hair and green eyes. He is approximately 5'6" and 165 pounds. He may go by the name Hassan Afif Trabulsy.
