If I am not mistaken the company/ies that made sodium pentothal/pentobarbitol no longer make it.

I thought I read something about it not being used anymore for some reason but I can't remember anything more about what I read. Perhaps this was it. My sister-in-law works for Abbot & I think it's one of their drugs. I'll ask her about it.

The pharm company that made the drug stopped making it because it was being used for lethal injection. I think, if I remember correctly, they felt that was not it's intended/prescribed use. Some states are thinking about/going to the use of propofol.

I read similar. I believe I heard that it was from a factory that was risking losing a contract because another country that does not support the death penalty was upset about it and they threatened to not renew a contract with the company. Something like that.
