Becase it is not news. Alaska has 320 magnitude 4 to 5 earthquakes per year. It's a daily occurence.

Last week’s magnitude 7.0 earthquake near Anchorage caused multiple problems at the sprawling Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, including damage to steel frameworks, ceilings, and sprinkler and heating systems, military officials said Friday.

But as with the rest of the earthquake zone, there were no deaths, serious injuries or widespread catastrophic damage.

In fact, Air Force Lt. Col. Jacob Leck, who is originally from Idaho, expected far worse in his first-ever earthquake, he said Friday during a news briefing on the impact of the Nov. 30 quake that struck 7 miles north of Anchorage. Such was the force felt during the quake, which has been followed by thousands of aftershocks.

I am working on that thread. I need someone in alaska or hawaii to do what I am asking so we can discover the last activity of this missing person to work into the timeline of them missing. The last ping of that missing person's phone was after 5:00am eastern time on the 14th. So, following the instructions in my post above and telling me the date they see will help tremendously.

This thread was suggested to post that request to since we have members from Alaska and Hawaii and perhaps some of them might be around and could help with this

The only other thread I know of where you may be able to ask the same question is the Ohio massacre of the 8 people from the same family. Before the arrests , some of the family members moved to Alaska and so there may be some people that are discussing in that thread from Alaska.

Just a thought to try and help.
