Anchorage police are looking for a missing 19-year-old woman; her family says she has the mentality and maturity of a 12-year-old.

Cynthia Hoffman's father, Timothy Hoffman, says she was last seen at the Polar Bear Playground at Russian Jack Springs Park about 4:40 Sunday afternoon. He says she may have recently been with a male friend.

If you see Cynthia or know where she is, you're asked to call the Anchorage Police Department.

Hopefully this is just a case of parents wanting to protect her while she thinks she doesn't need that, so she's off somewhere with a crush who is not a total creep. Anchorage, AK--19-year-old, Cynthia Hoffman, who was reported missing on Monday, has been found dead.

A friend of Hoffman told her family that she was last seen by a friend at Polar Bear Park around 4 p.m. on Sunday. An investigation revealed that this was a lie.

Turns out, Cynthia went with that friend and 16-year-old Kayden McIntosh to Thunderbird Falls. Hoffman was then bound with duct tape, shot in the back of the head by McIntosh and pushed into the river.

The female involved was questioned and released, and McIntosh was taken to jail for 1st Degree Murder and Evidence Tampering.

At the very least, thank goodness her discovery and the arrests didn’t take months to fall in place, the faster her family can try to mourn and process.

What a despicable crime... what is the motive?? Five young humans decide to throw their lives away and affect dozens of more lives... for WHAT!!? Unfathomable, so senseless... so depraved.
