Hari lives in Houston and flew to Alaska on his own, apparently. Told friends he'd be back in two weeks.

Per NAMUS:

Hari last spoke to his friends on 12-30-2025 at 2030 hours. He checked out of the Aurora Denali Lodge on 12-30-2025 around 1000 hours. He is visiting Alaska from Texas and is traveling alone without a vehicle.

Circumstance Notes

Aurora Denali Lodge 249.5 George Parks Highway, Healy AK 99743

Helpful information in this news article, saying he might have traveled from Denali to Fairbanks.

AND: Possible early sightings reported in comments on this Alaska Trooper FB page. Two people said he looked disoriented. At 40 below, it's not sounding good, sadly.

Very scary. Alaska is a tough place to be found - vast wilderness, rough weather, etc.

I’ll be praying for him.

Why did Hari make the trip to Alaska? What did he do there from 12/22 to 12/31?

It's interesting that his friends who reported him missing, don't know the reason for the trip either? I have so many questions. And what's this about a Lyft transaction that was later disputed?

However, concerns deepened after credit card records showed a Lyft transaction, which was later disputed.

This raised questions about his movements after checking out of the motel. There has been no confirmed activity linked to Hari since December 31.

Hari is from India, in the US attending the University of Texas for his Masters studies. MSN

I don't think I would be incorrect in stating he likely has no experience in the travel and weather conditions found in Alaska in December. Minus 26 as the HIGH temperature is not uncommon this time of year in that area. What was the purpose of his trip, something for scholastic research? Of was he wanting to see the Northern Lights?

One concern - the lodge openly advertises that Healy has NO forms of public transportation and there is no transportaion to and from the lodge outside of rental cars. So how could he be "traveling alone without a vehicle" as stated in the missing article in the thread opening post? Could he have rented a car after flying via airline into Fairbanks? (yes, his roomates said he didn't know how to drive, but maybe he did, and just never did so when he was on campus). Aurora Denali Lodge

I wonder if he was on any dating site? Maybe he met someone and traveled to visit? That person could have a car so he might not need one. Just a thought. IMO

It's a 2 hour, approximately, drive from the lodge to Fairbanks. He would have to travel by vehicle as it would be unwalkable in that weather.
Gosh, what happened and where is he?

Other than a short blurb on msm online there is NO coverage in any US newspaper or TV station that I could find on his being missing. Just the Alaska State Troopers missing alert for him on social media. I also checked the Fairbanks area media this morning. and there's no mention of him.

The Lyft driver incident is concerning. Hopefully LE is running down that lead.

The Alaska Department of Public Safety has posted his info with his full name, age and the particulars that we already know, but hopefully more people will see it now (note, you have to scroll down to find his info, there are other unrelated cases that pop up
first). Department of Public Safety
