“He never revealed why he’s going to Alaska,” Sompally said. “The roommates came to know only after their parents called back from India.”
According to Sompally’s account of the timeline of events, Karasani arrived at the Aurora Denali Lodge in Healy in the morning of Dec. 23 via Lyft due to his inability to drive.
Ravindra Atla, another friend, said he called Karasani in the morning of Dec. 30.
No one has heard from him since, according to Atla, Sompally, and Teja.
A man from India taking a solo trip to Alaska has been missing for weeks, and his family is wondering why.

I've been asking about the Lyft ride since the inception - when the friends revealed that detail. However LE has never even mentioned it? Seems it would be easy to verify and track the transaction, if it were valid. If he disputed the charge after the fact what does that tell us?
I suspect he may have accepted a ride with someone else, and only scheduled the Lyft. Could/would a dishonest driver process the fare, even if Hari was a no-show on pick-up?
Of course it's also entirely possible he is voluntarily missing. Is Hari here on a work visa, I don't recall. Feel like I'm grasping for straws here.
