Would be a good idea to ask about missing kids in Palmer or Wasilla....

Amy Fandel, 8 years old, The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

She's the only other missing person within that age group on Namus in Alaska. Next closest ages are either 3 or 11, I'm pretty sure with growth rates in children age could be pretty close to figure out. I could be wrong though.

There are a lot of missing people on NamUs aged between 5 and 9 in Alaska who went missing before this skull was found. Most of them are boating accidents. So I'm not sure if they'd end up being the skull that was found "in a yard". Do we have any idea where the yard was?

Bumping up.
Maybe they should consider
NamUs MP66490, initials SO, 8 y.o., missing in 1990, because although he was presumed drowned, "No one actually saw him go into the water."
(Seems unlikely, I know, I know.)

Amy Lee Fandel?
Already suggested upthread but if you have done additional research that indicates why she could be this child, please consider posting it here. Thanks!

Updated yesterday in Namus - still only the 1 ruleout that was listed upthread.

@cheemsg I agree, what the heck does 'found in yard' mean, under 'circumstances of recovery'? Was this child's partial skeletal remains just found randomly on someone's lawn? Or were they found buried in the yard? Or were they in some other kind of yard (maybe in a vehicle in a junk yard, for example)?

Does anyone have access to media archives that could find any local reporting from the time?
