A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 72-year-old man missing from Ninilchik.

Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna seek the public's help to find Maxwell Harper, who left on foot from the area of the Sterling Highway and Oil Well Road in Ninilchik.

"Maxwell is a white man with gray hair and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a ball cap," troopers wrote.

He is considered to be at risk. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call AST at 907-262-4453 or the Silver Alert Hotline at 855-SILVR99 (885-745-8799).

The alert for Harper was canceled at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers said in a Wednesday dispatch that "Harper was located by the Kenai Police Department and reunited with his family" at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
