Searchers looking for Oregon man missing in Denali National Park

Michael Purdy was planning to take day hikes in the park in the days prior to his starting his second season of work at Denali ATV Tours in Healy, according to a statement from the park Sunday. His employer reported him missing on Saturday, a day after he failed to show up for his first day of work.

Why would he leave his camping gear and food in the car?I understand it was day hikes but he would not camp in a car park.I wonder if grizzly bears are in this area waking from hibernation,hungry.

The original article was updated to say his body was found. He suffered a head injury from a fall. Rest in Peace, Michael!

Update, Sunday, 4:25 p.m.: Searchers on Sunday found the body of Michael Purdy, who had been reported missing Saturday after he failed to show up for work in Healy.

According to a release from the National Park Service, Purdy's body was discovered
