Details of Disappearance
Butts was last seen in Soldotna, Alaska at 2:00 p.m. on November 16, 2018. He got a ride to the Fred Meyer store on Sterling Highway that day. He has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case.

Found deceased.

Remains and personal items were collected from the scene that identified the deceased as Richard Butts and there was no indication of foul play, the department said via Facebook. Butts was last seen on Nov. 16, 2018, according to a missing persons bulletin published by Alaska State Troopers later that month.
