What happens next? So IK is now in Alaska. I am curious because I have never followed a case like this before...Any chance this may never be solved?

Nor do I, but from personal experience, you just never know. Often it is that if you are being raped to just take it and not anger the rapist.

I have never been abducted. But I was robbed at gunpoint. I have done 100's of stories of what to do according to police in that situation. I am usually a pretty calm person but I was a total mess, it was a nightmare. I had no idea I would be that bad. Really hard to explain but you just never know how you would act or wwhat you would do.

I have seen more than one young girl walk away to her death because the guy had a weapon. It is much better to die on the spot than go with them. Most of time, they don't harm you. If you put up a big enough fight, they oftentimes take off in a hurry and don't hurt you.

Oh yes, unfortunately...I have followed several cases here for the past 2+ years where the victims have not been found, and no one has been arrested...or sometimes suspects have been charged with unrelated offenses, but law enforcement has not been able to get what they need to charge for the abduction, etc...it is very hard when the person is still missing.

So did IK rob her, then rape her? Did he then go to another truck and steal a debit card after he was done?

I haven't kept up with this case...as you can see..LOL

$ missing for the Coffee where Samantha went poof. Hasn't been found.

"A" person per affidavits (https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&...T6H4t4&sig=AHIEtbQh7D9TArOnoOMMDM3INYJWfmB_hg) observed an unknown guy stealing his credit union credit card from his truck. At some point in time (unknown when) Person A contacts LE. Israel Keyes uses that cc in AZ, NM and TX. Arrested in TX when IK was stopped for speeding. Warrant out for IK from AK for kidnapping and TX arrested him. Nut shell and lots left out, but it's late and I'm tired. :blushing:

Guess we just have to wait until his trial on May 21st. No bail, so he'll stay in custody.

Nice little alarm they have going on with the media questioning...This is about the craziest presser I've seen..

Ohh I am sorry. There has been nothing mentioned of rape or robbery.
The card was taken at 3am from a car after Samantha was takn, the man gave a description of the man. We don't know when the card was reported stolen. That is the charges he is being held on at this stage, but LE has called him a person of interest.

I thought you had been following, I always remember you because of you child smoking avatar lol

Just thinking about the car IK was arrested in. He says he rented it in Las Vegas but it has TX plates. It looks like a hard top convertible to me. I doubt it's a rental. Any theories?

Rental cars don't necessarily have the same plates as the state you are renting in. It depends on if the car was a one way drop off from another location. I drove to Maine earlier this month (from Pennsylvania) and picked up my rental car at the Pittsburgh airport. It had Virginia plates. JMO.

wait .... there was a warrant for abduction? I didn't see that just the affidavit for the fraud.

Looks like robbery, rape, murder, so far.

Why hasn't that been considered?

  • #492
If I am accurate, he was arrested for this debit/credit card stolen in AK. It was now said in a presser that he is connected to the case.

Since the card was not hers and none of her family know the person who owns the card, I am going to assume that LE searched the truck and found some DNA in it. If not, I have no idea how they are so sure HE is the perp.

IK admits to being short on money for the month prior. He may have decided at the last minute to rob the coffee hut. If he was met with resistance, he may have taken her with him so she couldn't describe him as the robber. He may have raped and killed her. He then needed more cash to get out of Dodge and saw a credit card in an unoccupied car and took it. The rest is history.

Is there any chance we can reintroduce facebook comments into this thread, now that we are behaving? lol That man is out of control

IK has no small claims cases, no judgements or liens filed, PFDs have not been garnished. That doesn't mean he wasn't desperate for money, though. How much money could a coffee hut possible have? This guy worked on homes, you'd think he would use his knowledge of home owners and their habits to rob a house before a coffee hut.

Yep, I don't think there was anything about it other than this:
The abduction was apparently so stealthy that a person seen in the video, sitting in a pickup about 50 feet from the stand, didn't appear to notice anything strange, Tyler said.

"They were just oblivious," he said.

Whoa, that changes things. I had it in my head that the police were the ones who said the guy in a pickup didn't notice anything.

But if it was the guy who owned the coffee stand? Could be that he didn't realize it was significant whereas the cops instantly suspected that the person was a lookout.

I really like the theory that IK was the guy in the truck.

I don't know why his actions should surprise anyone. He's been like this since the beginning. He wants help but on his terms and you are suppose to abide by his rules. Its just like the reward fund, he wants people to donate to the cause, but then he tells everybody to mind their own business when they ask him about the funds and how they are being spent. IMO he's been out of control from the very beginning and he hasn't changed.

You are right...wow...scary....

I don't know if anyone else picked it up today, but it was said in one of the articles that IK's voice quivered as he spoke in court today. Sounds like he's scared sh@%less. I hope they rattle the heck out of him. I wonder what his 10 year old daughter thinks of him now. I feel sorry for that littleone. Its time he does right and tells them where Samatha is.

I don't blame him to some extent. There are a lot of, um, slow people on that page who can't seem to comprehend that the police have the truck and thus are not searching for the truck itself, but instead want to know where the truck had been in the last couple of months.

Also I think he is getting increasingly desperate as he probably knows that the fact that the cops have IK and his truck but not Samantha is a bad thing.

I thought about that little girl too, very sad. Even if SK and/or JK are complicit in this case, which I don't really think they are, it's still very sad all the way around.
