Not trying to argue, but Fox cancelled AMW some months ago, and Lifetime picked it up and changed the night.

Poor Samantha. I've had my theories from the beginning and James is just making them see more probable.

I suspected from the beginning it was someone she knew at least casually. She obviously has lead a hard life with a father she loves and has seen through a lot. Her online presence is defensive, with a typical teenager "don't eff with me" kind of energy. But she's young and young people are often stupid even when they're street smart. I believe she got involved in something with older people way, way over her head and she is paying for it. I think her father knows what it is regarding and I think he and his biker buddies are ready to even the score (part of not releasing the video fearing "retaliation" which is any other context makes NO sense).

I also fear the worst for this case's resolution.

I am praying I am wrong on every count.

This is what I have been thinking for a while now. Sam got in over her head with a bad set of people, or somebody close to her did (her dad? her boyfriend?) and she was taken as retribution. I am definitely not blaming the victim here--I'm just saying that it would explain why her father appears to know who did this and why.

I think he is letting the perpetrator know that even if she has been harmed, he still wants her back alive. And that he would not come after them for what they have already done so long as he gets her back. So it is not too late to return her and put an end to this, as they might be thinking.

Police Sgt. Slawomir Markiewicz said Tuesday that detectives trying to solve the mystery of Koenig's disappearance are putting in long hours, working late into the night and over weekends. They've talked to hundreds of people, followed up on more than 350 tips and conducted searches at various locations and on the Internet, Markiewicz said.

The investigators have mulled over a variety of possible motives and types of suspects, Markiewicz said.

"There may be many theories that need to be talked about or examined ... I don't want to say which one is the strongest, which one is the weakest. We have to be open-minded," Markiewicz said.

There is no evidence to disprove the abduction theory, Markiewicz said. Despite statistics showing that an abduction victim's chances of survival decrease with time, the detectives also have found no reason to think Koenig is dead, he said.

"We haven't found any evidence that anything else happened to her, at this time," Markiewicz said. "I think the main thing here is that there is no evidence to contradict that."

Koenig's father, James, said he is still hopeful his daughter will return unharmed.

"I feel her in my heart. I know she's still alive. She's close. I just have to keep the hope and believe in what the police tell me, that they're doing everything they can," he said. "I'll never give up hope until I find her."

I thought you couldn't cut and paste, but you discuss what you saw. Oh I give up. whats the point. If someone is going to spend time and energy to discuss and direct to things that are publicly accessible and just have them deleted....why go through it. So from that it seems like you have two entities (gangs or whatever) that are beefing in a major way. Sam was somehow tangentially involved and that's why she got abducted. Her dad is saying that she wasn't really involved (perhaps more significantly, he's also saying that HE wasn't involved--notice how he says she is "no relation to anyone who wronged you") and that they should just let her go. Then they can carry on with whatever beef they have without interference from him.

We DO NOT link to anyone that is not the victim (Samantha) or the suspect (no suspects at this point). Because of a restraining order, there is a little leeway with CB here...FOR NOW, even though LE has said he is not a POI or suspect at this point.

We DO NOT link to a page that "might" be one of the above people. If you're not 100% sure, don't post it.

Linking to a Support page, such as Help Find Samantha Koenig, is usually okay. Just don't copy and paste comments.

If a social networking page is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private! We DO NOT link to private pages, or post screen caps of private pages.

We DO NOT link to someone's mother, brother, cousin, or milkman just because they know the suspect or victim. And, if you can't link to their page, you can't talk about what's on their page. reading the father's comment brought back a memory. when i was younger and into drugs sorta at the time. there was another girl in same town. we knew each other. we had same name, about same height, same color hair, my hubby at the time and her b/f at the time had same first names. the only differences was i have blue eyes and her's are brown, i had 3 girls, she had one boy. a BIG drug dealer in our town was busted for the drugs and also for a murder. the girl with same name was the one that helped to bust him. for a few months i had to send my kids away because i was being threatened. i had to find someone that knew all three of us ( the other girl, the drug dealer and myself) and have them act as a go between to explain to the dealer what was going on the call it off. that was taken care of thank God!! but a week later she was found dead by a hit and run on a road that goes no where in our town. sorry for all that explanation but my point is...i wonder if she's caught up in the same type of situation.

I can understand the police not releasing the whole video, what I don't understand is why not release a couple of still shots of the guy. SOMEONE would recognise them - their clothes, their look, their demeanor ... there is something very weird about the cops up there and how they are handling everything.
Tainting the jury is a load of codswallop. I don't understand why the media have not requested a copy under the freedom of information act. It wouldn't fly in a court or at the attorney Generals office to protect a jury - meanwhile the child is still missing.
