Probably Google Maps. His work truck shows in the driveway of the house that was searched.

Good memory and/or good eye, Joslmaman!

I can't take full credit. Someone else tipped off to it in the comments on another article. I thought either way, it's interesting.

It is a strange comment, doesn't really fitthe conversation IMO, may indicate a motive of sorts if it's him

Yes...is the poster, Israel, referring to Bird...or now we can see maybe it is directed at Samantha, and a beef the poster has with her?
Just "thinking out loud" here.

When the house search made the news yesterday , I did a google street view of that road and matched the house. The house does look different on the front now compared to the google "street view" images of 2009.. However their is a contractor truck in the driveway and when looked at from an angle, one can make out a phone # on the side of the truck. I searched this phone # and it came up with Keyes Construction. So either he lived there or he was doing work there approximately 3 yrs ago. I would say it was definitely related.

Ok Ransom beat me , and with better info.

Seems you and I were doing the same thing yesterday! LOL

What the heck was in his car after all this time that connected him to Samantha? I wasn't thinking forensics before, but now I wonder...although it seems too soon for that. Still, if he still had items belonging to her in his car...good grief. Glad some of them are so stupid.

I wonder where his truck is? It was not in the drive way yesterday. And he was in a white car when arrested.

Could it be a credit card he had of hers- device fraud charge?

Also listed in the docket was a criminal complaint based out of Alaska. Keyes was due back in court in Texas early Thursday, according to the most recent filings Thursday evening.

He also hinted that the security camera footage taken from the coffee stand played little, if any, role in identifying Keyes. "As we said originally, if that surveillance camera would have helped us identify that suspect we would have released it at that time, but we didn’t," he said.

Markiewicz said that there was "no information or evidence" that Koenig and Keyes knew each other "before."

Maybe it was her phone and bag...

Ok, so he was due back in court in TEXAS by Thursday for these charges. I wonder if he tried the robbery as a way to get money to travel back for court. He may have seen an opportunity when he saw her alone in the hut and decided to steal the cash from the register at the very least. It MAY have been a ransom robbery after all.

Great Job, DadinAK...it goes to show that google street view can be used for many reasonsI I have heard that drug dealing scenes, and other nefarious activities, have been inadvertenetly caught on this search vehicle. Wow! thank gosh I would only be caught with bed head going out to get my mail! Tee! Hee!

Court documents filed in Texas show that Keyes was charged with access device fraud, a typical crime involved in identity theft related to the use of another person's credit cards. U.S. attorneys also ask that Keyes be held without bail because of both escape risk and "a serious risk that the defendant will obstruct or attempt to obstruct justice, or threaten, injure, or intimidate or attempt to threaten, injure or intimidate, a prospective witness or juror."

In a live interview with Channel 2's Mike Ross on the 5:00 Report, APD detective Sgt. Slawomir Markiewicz said Keyes had a central role in the case.

"We believe that he is the person that -- that was the main figure in the abduction and he's the main person of interest," Markiewicz said. "We can't go into details on his role and say what happened; what we can say is that his arrest is related to the case."

I see that Keyes Construction's business license expired at the end of 2010.

http://commerce.alaska.gov/CBP/Main/BLDetail.aspx?id=904578

I noticed the mailing address and the physical address are two different numbers and streets. Note: the mailing address is not a P.O. Box...so I am thinking it is a physical location.
Could these two addresses get us any further in finding info. regarding Israel Keyes?
Are you locals familiar with:
134 West 12th Street (mailing address) and
Arctic Blvd. #2891 (physical address)?
