Doesn't sound like this dude is very smart to still have evidence in his vehicle of the kidnapping after all this time. I thought I read that he had to be in Texas to show up in court?

Even dumber if he was actually using her credit cards AND leaving the receipts in the car..

I think that means he had a hearing today for his arrest on Tuesday, not some prior charges.

Regarding the evidence, the articles don't specifically state that he was found with articles belonging to Samantha, or even evidence that he kidnapped Samantha, per se.

The way I'm putting it together, before his arrest, LE in AK considered him a POI and had reason to believe he (or his car) was in Texas because Mankiewicz said they had been working with Texas LE for "several days". Then out of the blue, a police officer in Lufkin, TX, stopped him on a traffic violation, ran a make on his license plate, and discovered the out of state bulletin. They searched the car and "found enough evidence in the vehicle to arrest the driver for suspected kidnapping..."

If there were already grounds to suspect him, say he used her credit card, or LE verified a tip, and LE found a roll of duct tape for instance, or a length of rope in his car, or other items commonly used in kidnappings, I'm fairly certain that would suffice as evidence to arrest him on suspicion of kidnapping. It seems that so far he's only been charged with access device fraud. JMO

But according to a charging document filed in at an East Texas federal courthouse, Keyes is charged with access device fraud, a charge typically levied against an individual who uses another person's bank or credit card to retrieve funds without the person's permission.

Wow! Took a hiatus from this thread, Checked in tonight, AN ARREST woohoo! I find it interesting this cat's being held in a federal facility! They must have something concrete to hold him there instead of a jail.

In the video I saw JK stated he was a driver. Didn't say what or where so could be construction related?

He used to be co-owner of a plumbing company.. at least that's what's indicated in one of his court records. K&M Plumbing..

But thank goodness for stupid criminals...

I do fear for Sam though...I don't think this guy had accomplices who would be willing to still have her with them at this point...I don't think he had accomplices at all. JMO

I think the Thursday court date might have been for his previous charges. Those were from East Texas as well. Why would he have run off to East Texas all of a sudden otherwise?

Anyone have an account set up at Pacer? Want to see if he has any prior federal charges.

Is this him?

Hey Nurse, did you notice something in that commendation he posted?

His first name is misspelled (darn Army) and the date served conflicts with what he says in his work history section ...

His age doesn't add up with the BOP record you linked to. If he was 34 in 2001 that would make him 45 today, right?

But that stuff about the commendation is interesting. What do you think it means?

I suppose it's possible that he was randomly stopped, but is it possible that they were tailing him and the traffic stop was a cover to arrest him?

If there were already grounds to suspect him, say he used her credit card, or LE verified a tip, and LE found a roll of duct tape for instance, or a length of rope in his car, or other items commonly used in kidnappings, I'm fairly certain that would suffice as evidence to arrest him on suspicion of kidnapping. But he is the subject of a sealed federal indictment and is being held in federal prison. The access device fraud was just what the Texas police used to arrest him before handing him over to the feds, I think.

No, it was due to a PRIOR incident. He was due in court in Texas for prior identity theft type charges.

That is why I am wondering if he robbed the coffee hut to get money for his trip to Texas, and maybe she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Can you let us know where you found this? it is not noted in the ADN article...but maybe I saw it in one of the Texan reports...

Also from his construction site, looks like he's fairly familiar with the area of Neah Bay, WA. He did work for Parks & Rec?

I noticed the misspelling too.

I posted about the other IK because I was thinking perhaps identity theft? It just seemed strange that there is such a large gap with NO history.

Also identity theft seems to be his thing (based on prior charges). Maybe he identified with another sociopath or knew him at some point and already had his documents? Totally my own speculation.

I reread it and i may be wrong. Sorry. But it seemed to me that it was worded that way originally. But maybe not. :what:

Bessie, thanks for fixing the picture. I'm on my iPhone & the picture looked normal size. I can't tell when the margins are blown on this phone. Thanks again.

Knox, Israel's Veromi search pulls up a Constable NY. We know of Tx, WA & AK so Constable NY is standing alond to me. Could it be where he was born or just lived there a few years? It's the first city that pops up with the others so I'm thinking it was his first place of established residence once he turned 18 & started credit. No?

Yep, checking it now. Other than the current one in TX just one drunk driving one in WA.

Uploading the only document I could access regarding what's going in Texas. Check out the dates he allegedly "accessed" a device...2/28-3/13??
