His business is. He also has went by the names Isreal Keyes and Israel Reyes, according to records. Also something about access device fraud? I'll see what else I can dig up on him.

Chrome- Do you mind sharing how you figured out he went by Reyes as well? I am also pretty sure he did, but I wasnt sure if you had posted other documents that showed his alias? Thanks again!

The public reaction to Koenig’s abduction included a webpage asking baristas to post pictures and descriptions of “suspicious customers” in order to establish a database of potential criminals. The page administrator, who identified himself only as “Ron,” declined to speak on camera for fear of retaliation.

Above is snipped quote from ktva. Article linked above about CB rumors.. did anyone ever find this webpage that's discussed?

Communities and locations in Constable

  • Constable – A hamlet near the center of the town on Route 30 at the junction with NY-122.
  • Trout River – A stream flowing northward across the border into Canada, flowing past both Constable village and the community of Trout River.
  • Trout River – A hamlet on the border of Canada at the junction of NY-30 and County Road 20. The community is a port of entry and has a similarly named community across the border in Quebec.

Interesting-

I am not sure why everyone is thinking that IK's charges relate to a credit card belonging to Samantha? Did I miss something? I know the charge is access device fraud but I can't see where anything is mentioned. And if he does have her card that is a theft of credit card no?
They found something in the car, he was arrested with access device fraud on Tuesday and APD confirmed that on Thursday. It was reported in Lufkin on the day but only because people saw him being taken into custody from a restaurant window.

When I hear evidence in a car I don't think a single credit card. Wouldn't mind betting that charge has been used to hold him and is totally unrelated.

I tend to agree because it would be incredibly stupid of him to use the victim's credit card or bank card. Unless he had nothing to do with the crime and didn't even know that she was the subject of a missing persons investigation (which seems unlikely).

There is for sure unsecured boarder very near there.

Are we sure that this is the same Israel Keyes that owns that NY property?

Because if so...holy cow, that guy moves around! Alaska, Texas, New York...

Have there been any news releases since his arrest?

Can you describe the border area more?

A boat could go from Alaska to this area of the Trout River/Port of Entry?

No, a boat couldn't get there from Alaska. However, the boarder between upstate NY and Canada is basically a river. There are obviously boarder crossings, however there are definitely gaps. Specifically for example the indian reservation at St regis requires no boarder crossing between the US and Canada. No passport, no record. Boats go to and from constantly. (There's a film available on netflix about it..)

I don't know that this really matters, but considering his property is that close I thought I should mention it.

Could IK have known anything about that $3000 I wonder?

That was false information.

False information according to who? James?
Sam's step-brother (unofficial step-brother, apparently) said Sam told him that she took the $3K. What would be his motivation to lie about it?

I think its super unlikely he could have taken a boat, he would be crossing the length of Canada, plus it is still freezing here, so any little streams, etc that may tie some Alaskan rivers to Canadian (all the way to NY area) is not very probable, if possible.

You're right and I said earlier that my imagination is way too active.

The probability that he brought her to upstate NY is almost non-existent. Just following digital trails.

I think the biggest problem (if he took Samantha with him) would be getting into Canada undetected). There is a lot of area AK and Canada share, but it is pretty darn remote unless your on the highway, which means crossing the border, unless you have a plane to fly out. I really don't think he would fist trying to take her out of state, why go through all the trouble to get her out when the majority of the state is pretty unpopulated.

Has anyone tied him into locations other than Alaska, Washington, New York, and Texas? I ask because all four of these states are "Border" states. Is it possible that he has some experience in getting people across borders illegally? My thoughts and opinions only.

To get her to New York he would've had to go by car or plane (the only way to boat there is to go down through the Panama canal).

Plane clearly seems impossible, unless she went willingly.

With a car he would've had to make two border crossings. It would be very risky. He would've had to hide her well (and keep her quiet) and hope that the border patrol people didn't just decide to search him on a whim. And that guy, traveling alone with a bunch of stuff in the back (enough to hide a person), would be an awful tempting target for a border search.

Maybe he could've crossed over secretly, but I think that would be pretty hard to pull off (definitely on the Alaska/Canada border at least). Pretty much is only option would be to bushwhack through the woods.

Drug traffic is high in all those areas..

(What makes the creepy green smiley appear? I did not do that on purpose.)

JK addressed it in the press conference.
