I think if she is out of state, then it must have been willingly. We had a case not too long ago, can't remember the woman's name, up in talkeetna, not as big as SK's case, everyone said there would be no way she would leave without telling anyone or leave her dogs, but that's what she did. It stinks, but I hope this is the case with SK, and that she is OK

There is one 'flaw' in the theory that she left on her own that night. Her bf was supposed to be there at 8 pm to pick her up but was held up at work. What was she going to do if he got there on time to pick her up? Did she plan to leave early to 'stage' an abduction?

texas u.s. Attorney's office: Keyes to be flown to alaska for hearings

the jefferson county downtown jail in beaumont, texas confirmed friday that keyes is being held at its facility and that he's been there since wednesday.

The u.s. Attorney's office in texas said thursday that keyes agreed to waive his detention or bail hearing until he gets to alaska, where all of the court proceedings will happen.

The u.s. Marshals service will fly keyes to alaska through its airlift, which runs weekly, but a spokesperson said it could take up to a month.

Since LE knows when he left AK, that would indicate he left a trail and wouldn't indicate him sneaking across somewhere.

Isn't this considered "baiting"?

It may be, I don't think so but I will delete my posts or have a mod take care of that for me :) Sorry you thought that.

His neighbors on Spurr Lane said Keyes had moved there about two years ago, and lived in the quiet, blue-painted house with his girlfriend and a young child. They said he had been on vacation "out of state" for some time.

Some time is subjective. Has he been gone for one week, two weeks, or since shortly after Sam was abducted? Wish the reporter would have nailed down the timeline better.

We know the access device fraud took place in Alaska. I think SFBaynancydrew found a document that said between Feb 28th and March 13th, is that right?

False information according to who? James?
Sam's step-brother (unofficial step-brother, apparently) said Sam told him that she took the $3K. What would be his motivation to lie about it?
Gee... could it be that the step brothers BFF IS NONE OTHER THAN CB?
that's exactly who Samantha met CB thru..her step brother!

Eta : sorry ifalready answered I'm playing catch up..

Those are the dates, Knox, and the complaint was filed in the US District Court in Alaska.

MP is not related to SK. As far as I am concerned MP he has plenty of reason to lie about it. And honestly if she had dont you think her father would have stated so... he has been pretty to the point regarding her and her past. He could have easily made her sound to be a perfect kid which he hasnt. I do not see any reason for him to lie about this. This has been addressed with him. And he has spoken regarding this issue.

Not only that but just how in the world would these neighbors who not a single one of them could say they'd even had an actual conversation with EVER.. How would those same neighbors KNOW THAT IK WAS "OUT OF STATE"????

IMO, it isn't a fact or falsehood either way unless it's coming from LE. I don't know either JK or MP personally, so I'm not prepared to say one is definitely telling the truth and the other is definitely lying. Just as you say JK has no reason to lie, I don't know that MP has one either.

Gosh...if this next step could take a month...does that mean no word on where Samantha might be until then? If then?

How do we know the access device fraud took place in AK? I think he could be charged in Alaska for using a card outside of Alaska.

Go back to post #178. It says "Alaska, and elsewhere". :waitasec:

I just looked in PACER, nothing new really, but he was appointed a federal public defender in TX and requested a public defender once he gets to AK. Not too surprising.
