I was thinking about eklutna lake, I think one of Hansons victims were found there "eklutna Annie", then the article about the guy in July 2011 someone posted, now this....creepy...

I just found the story about eklutna annie this morning. How awful. I do not understand how people can be missing for that long and NO ONE identify them.

What July 2011 thing are you talking about?

Whoever this poor person is, it seems LE would try to contact the family before they issue a press release. It's still early morning in AK.

Of course family would be notified before hearing about it in a press conference. I just mean that if it is Sam, it is high profile enough that I think they would hold a press conference to notify the public.

I have heard there is an old Eskimo (?) practice where people who know they are dying will go to a place in the snow, away from the village, to succumb to the "elements". I hear it is one of the least painful ways to die...numb...pass out..etc.
Maybe that is ONE reason for the amount of suicides in Alaska?
Just a thought....I may be wrong, though.

I have never heard of that happening. A lot of suicides happen among younger people in the villages, though, I know right now they are doing a lot of suicide prevention tactics aimed at younger people.

Hope that makes sense,, OK no one said they went on vacation together, so what if IK leaves a day early to drive to Texas or where ever the first vacation was daughter stays with him they continue on to Texas would explain why evidence is in the car in Texas and to get to Eklutna lake you gotta take HWY 1 and that's the way to the border...

I Don't see flying down to Texas and taking evidence with you and putting it in a rent-a-car..

I see him driving to Texas too! It is a long drive...but where there is motivation, and drugs, it is amazing what people can, will, an DO do.
And that would be why there is evidence in the car, still.
I still am trying to figure out what evidence LE found.

But didn't the car have Texas plates? That is what makes me think he didn't drive there. And he supposedly had his 10 yr old daughter with him. that is a long drive for a 10 yr old.
