A 25-year-old Fairbanks man charged with killing his landlord was arrested Friday morning by an alert Alaska State Trooper. Patrick Kendall Marsh gave the trooper a false name and had tried to alter his appearance by shaving his head and applying a fake facial tattoo, according to trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters. Troopers believe Marsh strangled and beat Trisha Pearson, 69, at her Yankovich Road home late Sunday night and fled the scene in her Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Hamilton Acres.
