Circumstance: William Day was last seen, according to NamUs, on September 15th, 1975, at a Rendevous Club in Fairbanks, Alaska. Interestingly, the Death Index at AlaskaWeb.org lists a William Day born on February 24th, 1894, and dying in June 1975 at age 81. While it's possible NamUs got some details wrong, this is likely a William Day Jr. However, the William Day born in 1894 had his place of death or last known residence in Eagle Lake, Alaska, a couple of hundred miles from Fairbanks.

Another Interesting thing is that one of William Day's aliases is "William John Wunderlich." Which shares the same name as a former state representative from Arkansas. Obviously these two men are not the same person, since Mr. Wunderlich died on January 30th, 1976 according to Find-A-Grave. But the events of Day's disappearance and the passing of Mr. Wunderlich being almost a year apart, It would not be crazy to think that the two individuals are somehow tied to each other. But, perhaps it's simply just a coincidence.
