MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - On Wednesday, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrested local teacher Tracy Walker after her four-year-old student ingested ethanol in April.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - On Wednesday, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrested local teacher Tracy Walker after her four-year-old student ingested ethanol in April.

Maybe gave it to her to sedate her for SA?
It just doesn't make sense.

My guess here is that the teacher has a problem with alcohol herself. She was drinking during the day, nap time came, and she gave some to the child who tended to not sleep as long, as stated in the article above about the child being one of the first to wake. Her judgment was impaired and she did something dangerously dumb. JMO

The toxicology report given to FOX10 News by the family shows the girl’s blood alcohol content was nearly 0.29- an amount that’s more than triple the legal limit.

“You’re dealing with something that potentially could have killed this child,” said Sgt. Parsons.

"One of the scariest things is that this child had a blood alcohol content of point 286.," Parsons reveals. "To put that into perspective, that is five times the legal amount for a grown adult. At this point, this comes close to a lethal amount of alcohol, especially for this child.

Right now, investigators are trying to determine just what that beverage was.

The sheriff's office wants to speak with anyone with a child that had contact with Ms. Walker and might have displayed unusual behavior.

According to the school’s website, Walker is a special education teacher.

Her bond was set at $25,000 and she has been placed on administrative leave.
