Looking up crime log/crime map/police logs/incidents:

Any other suspicious incidents reported? Fires, disturbances, etc?
There may be lots of info to come. I think evil had been in town for a while

Let me know what I need to do to keep this in line with the rules.

In order to keep this within TOS you will need to remove all the info about who lives where. We cannot sleuth family or friends of the victim unless LE names them as POI's or suspects. Please edit your info so that we don't get the thread shut down. Please guys, don't copy and reply to the family info. It just makes more work for the mod's to clean up.

I find it really strange we haven't heard from LE today on this.

Mt. Vernon’s is 1,574

Just to clarify this is the population of the Mount Vernon north of Mobile, AL. The Mt. Vernon community near Collinsville is basically just crossroads and not an incorporated area so the population of Collinsville includes Mt. Vernon.

There could be doorbell cameras along the street or security cameras along the route that could quickly pinpoint that vehicle.

I really hope these are available but I'm highly doubtful. Maybe the house across the street had a camera but again I doubt it.

If it was self harm, they would not need CSI & a forensic team at the scene! View attachment 171969

Amberly Barnett, missing 11-year-old Alabama girl, found dead - CNN

Moo

Actually, many police departments will treat possible suicides as homicides until the coroner/ME issues a cause of death. Additionally, LE almost ALWAYS withholds details in cases involving teens and pre-teens because of the high risk of triggering additional incidents. IF this is a case of self-harm, it would not surprise me if LE is waiting to get counseling coordinated through the schools before announcing cause of death. This is speculative and just my own opinion.

You can quote from this article but not say ”I read on mom‘s Facebook “.

(My approach from experience, don’t even say the F word if possible)

(ETA:
Unless it’s linking to LE or msm or quoting directly from an article.)

CNN reports the mother mentioning the SUV so that had to have come from a witness nearby. It is possible the SUV didn’t initially cause alarm because it had been at the house in the past. Meaning someone known to the family. That person could have been known to the aunt, or even the neighbors but unknown to ALB. There could be doorbell cameras along the street or security cameras along the route that could quickly pinpoint that vehicle. I would venture a guess that is how LE was able to resolve this quickly. Unfortunately, not quick enough to rescue this sweet little girl. Rest easy little one, watch over your family, and send them a sign of your love.

Does mom have a boyfriend ? Significant other ? Have LE stated this vehicle was involved in her abduction/death ?
Since she's named in the title, is it ok. to use her full name ?

Rest in peace, young Amberly. :(

They may feel that there’s no danger to the community.... if they have their eyes, or their hands, on the presumed killer. (Another reason, of course, would be if they thought it was suicide—somehow, I doubt that it is.)

Just for my own curiosity I looked up sex offenders in the area and there are 6 within a 1 mile radius and 15 within a 5 mile radius. None are listed as driving a green SUV however and doesn't mean that a sex offender is involved.

I wonder what precipitated the move? Someone knew she was alone. I just don’t see a random green van slowly driving up and down that county road. And she most likely was inside with her siblings watching them with adults not around.
I agree re. the random green van, but I thought maybe she was the only one of her siblings staying with the aunt. Could be others were there though.

I'm beginning to think there really was a green vehicle, and not just a 'made up' one by the person who reported it.

I hope this isn’t against TOS -please delete if so - but it appears she’s had no less than 7 Instagram accounts within the last year. All but 2 completely public. Some of her posts are quite telling, MOO.

It is within TOS to post links to them, but we've only found 2. Can you please post links to all those you have found?

I honestly dont think they would go through so much effort to cover if self harm. Imo

They may leave it vague if so but I think a statement would be released ruling out foul play by now if so.

Of course we can't.

Really? Why? I was just about to post something about doubting the green vehicle story. If you take out the green vehicle how is the story plausible? What we know is that the aunt left, the BIL was there and AB is deceased. I want answers as to when this little girl was murdered (if so) and what the circumstances were surrounding that. A green SUV with a messed up grill may or may not fit into the truth of this.

Haven't looked at her IG accounts; but, if she was being harmed by someone, bullied at school, or if she was severely depressed --then maybe she took the only way out she felt was available ?
Terrible to think about in one so young. But it happens.

This one hits awfully close to home. I have a strong theory but don't suppose I can share it.
