PLEASE RT: After reviewing surveillance video near Green Park South, we can confirm that AF <mod note: name redacted> willingly got into the dark SUV you see in this photo.

Detectives are working to ID the make & model of the SUV. Call 205-620-6550 with info if you have it.

Thank you for starting this thread @GuyfromCanada, she used to be my "neighbor" in our apartment complex! She was always walking around the complex by herself, no adult supervision & she was essentially the permanent babysitter for the younger kids in her family. I noticed she was starting to act out last year threatening some of the other kids in the complex that were her "friends". I hope she is found safely I am so worried that something bad might happen to her. I don't know her parents or family, but she would always say hi & play in the grassy area near my apartment.

My husband, his co-workers nor I have received an Amber Alert on our phones, so I wonder if maybe they know she is headed South or West???

I am not sure, but the last time I saw her she had a cell phone that she was playing with (texting, chatting, playing games, etc.) but I am not sure if it belonged to her or one of the parents. It has been about 6 months or so since I have seen her & it was at a store. This is all just from my experience!

Predators are everywhere. I lived in Pelham for a long time; used to think it was one of the safest places to live around Birmingham but you just never know anymore. I hope this young lady is found safe...

I think they boo-booed. The headline has changed and the article now reads:

An Emergency Missing Child Alert was issued for AF, a 13-year-old, who was last seen in the Green Park South Mobile Home area of Pelham on Tuesday, Jan. 21, around 7 a.m.
UPDATE: Police ID vehicle in search for missing Pelham teen - Shelby County Reporter
I am local and have not received an amber alert... Is an emergency missing child alert the same as an amber alert?
No, they are not the same. More information: Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Online Services
My husband, his co-workers nor I have received an Amber Alert on our phones, so I wonder if maybe they know she is headed South or West???
There is no AA: AMBER Alerts

Police search for missing 13-year-old girl who 'willingly' got into someone's car and never made it to school
[...]

... But she never made it to school that day and has been missing ever since, according to the Pelham Police Department.

The girl's parents said it's out of character for their daughter to not show up to school.

"She's very good, a very good girl," her father, Alfredo Flores, told Birmingham ABC affiliate WBMA-LD. "This is the first time she go to school and not come back."

It sounds like she does. Although not stated explicitly, it also sounds like she has it with her but she doesn't have her charger. Her parents have been reviewing phone records.

Also, in the video below, her mother says she was wearing a Hollister white-fleece sweater. Stoney Sharp said she was wearing ripped jeans.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala.--- AF's parents say the missing 13-year-old never skipped school, did not pack any bags before vanishing Tuesday and did not take her cell phone charger. Learn what the family is doing to find AF this AM on Good Morning Alabama @abc3340
