Questions:
Did she voluntarily leave home/her residence, or did she get into a bad situation with a driver who was not legit?
Is she okay and just left home to get away for some reason, or is she already dead in a who-knoze-where place?
Oh her poor family. Hoping for good news of her soon.
Thanks for the thread, @mlhenn.

Oh no. Angela had a beautiful sister Ashley that passed away in 2018. In her 20's.

Now I wonder who she lived with? If family her parents are divorced and remarried.

This is a long time for this lovely girl to be missing. Could it have been a hack cab?

Good questions, @Filly... I didn't know that she lost her sister... I assume they were close. That has to be a very sad situation for Angela to face every day.
It doesn't sound like she was living with either parent, and at age 26, she probably wasn't. Were they in the same town?
We just don't know much, do we?
We do know that she is a beautiful young woman, probably up & coming, and in the prime of her life. But since her family doesn't know where she is, after this many days, it just doesn't look good.
Who saw her get into a rideshare car -- a friend who communicated with her parents? [borndem, quit asking questions]
Just hoping for good news, but...

So, it looks like she was arrested in January of this year. I wonder if she had already dealt with this incident or if she had any upcoming court dates or fines or anything like that? I also wonder why it took so long to report her missing. I feel like 15-17 days is a pretty long time for someone to be missing but not reported. Hmmm...

'It's just constant worry': Mother of missing Hoover woman not seen in 6 weeks speaks out

Aug 6, 2021
A Hoover woman searching for her missing daughter is speaking out for the first time.

Angela Roberts has been missing since late June.

Ginger Jones said she is sharing Angela’s story for two reason – to find her daughter and to let other families know they are not alone in this kind of heartbreak.

Angela had just left addiction treatment. The Hoover Police Department and her family suspect she may have headed to the Woodlawn area. Jones said her daughter has been gone before, but never this long without contact.

Jones says she rides up and down 1st Ave in Woodlawn every other night, hoping to see her at a gas station or walking on the road.

@borndem this latest article may answer some of the questions you had...

•looks like she had recently left addiction treatment..not sure whether this departure was scheduled or whether she left early.
•it appears her mother has strong reasons to believe Angela was heading (and may still be there) to Woodlawn area...her mother drives up & down 1st Ave in Woodlawn every other night hoping to spot Angela.
•Angela is the mother of two children...those poor children; I’m sure they miss their mother.
•Her mother is terribly worried...“Well Angela is struggling with addiction, we know that,” Ginger Jones said. “But again, it’s just not like her to not be in touch with somebody. She even has groups of friends in that area that say Angela always pops up. Pops in for a shower or for food or something. And she’s not even contacting them. And those are her safe places.”

An article posted on AL.Com describes the arrest and out-on-bond state of a man who was a rideshare driver. This article is about the man who was arrested for molesting two women, however the thin link between a recently rideshare driver and Angela needs to be examined closely since all occurrences ofthis man’s criminal behavior is tied to the state of Alabama, IMO opinion.

Skeletal remains of missing Hoover mother who struggled with addiction found in overgrown lot

The skeletal remains of a Hoover woman missing since June were discovered in an overgrown lot in Birmingham over the weekend.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday confirmed the remains as Angela Michelle Roberts, who was 26 at the time she disappeared.

The cause and manner of death has not been determined. Yates said there was no obvious evidence of foul play, but the investigation and testing is ongoing.

How did Angela Roberts die? Cause of death for missing Hoover woman may never be known, coroner says

According to Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates, the skeletal remains of Angela Michelle Roberts, 27, were found Saturday in the 300 block of 64th Street South in Birmingham’s South Woodlawn neighborhood. Roberts had been reported missing in July and was last seen getting into a taxi or rideshare service on Old Tyler Road on either June 25 or June 26.

Yates said that while the cause of death is pending, it’s possible that that question may never be fully answered.

Yates said that outside of Roberts’ near-complete skeletal remains, the only other items that were found at the scene were clothing and jewelry. However, he said those items did not offer any insight into how she may have died.

Yates said that with the skeletal remains being mostly dry, it’s likely Roberts had died several weeks or months ago.

“This does not represent a recent death,” he said.
