According to Opelika Police Capt. Shane Healey, 25 year-old Michelle Buffordtrafficked multiple girls in a prostitution operation run out of a hotel in the city.

Police decided to launch an investigation after visiting the hotel for a trespassing complaint. When officers discovered a 16 year-old girl who was dishonest about her identity, they began to look into the situation.

During the investigation, police interviewed a 14 year old girl and discovered that she had been a runaway from North Alabama. The police also learned that the girls had been forced into prostitution and placed them into protective custody.

Body believed to be that of Aniah Blanchard is found in Alabama | Daily Mail Online

Human remains believed to be those of UFC heavyweight fighter's missing stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard, 19, were discovered this morning in Alabama.

The body was found on Monday in Macon County, more than a month after Blanchard was last seen alive at a convenience store in Auburn.

'I can confirm that human remains have been found and we have good reason to suspect they are that of Aniah Blanchard,' said District Attorney Brandon Hughes to News 3.

"Lee County D.A. Brandon Hughes has confirmed that David Johnson, Jr. was arrested in Montgomery. He is being charged with hindering prosecution.

Johnson is believed to have been the person who drove Ibraheem Yazeed to Florida after Aniah’s abduction, where he was eventually arrested."

Second suspect in Blanchard kidnapping granted $50,000 bond


In 2004, Fisher and another man were arrested for capital murder in the robbery and shooting death of Amy Rawls in Montgomery. He pleaded guilty to felony murder in that case. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, after his murder conviction Fisher served one year, 11 months and 28 days in prison.
