I have read the entire thread, sorry if I missed this information. When did she tell her friend she met "Eric" on a dating app?
If you're talking about the "best friend" on Twitter who initially posted about it, I can't figure that out either. She posted very early after Aniah went missing that she was last seen in Auburn going to meet a guy named Eric who she met on a dating app, but this seems really questionable to me.

The more "official" version of this comes from the Snapchat messages that Aniah (or someone posing as her) sent to her roommate on Wednesday night around 11:30pm. Roommate asked if she was almost home, she said yes, roommate asked where she was and she said "with Eric." Roommate asks who that is, Aniah (or someone) says it's a guy she just met.

I've been searching and not finding any new updates for our media thread on the search for her - maybe it is just on local news?
AL - Aniah Blanchard media, maps, timelines *no discussion,23 Oct 2019

I've been searching too, rather obsessively I have to admit, and coming up with nothing except for prayer vigil announcements (which are definitely important) and "new" news stories with OLD information which is totally annoying, but I suppose those are for people who aren't as neurotic as I am about googling for updated news ;)

Where are you Aniah?? Lord, give those searchers wisdom. Amen

Forensic evidence indicate that she was harmed in the vehicle.

No damage to vehicle at convenience store.

Damage happened somewhere between the store in Auburn and the apartment complex in Montgomery where car was located, 50 miles from store.
They just say hurt. Was it a physical or sexual assault? Was someone in her car and she tried to hit something? Wow so many possibilities.

Yes,that's it. Seems like the roommate would have heard about him before, especially since she cared enough to stay up and wait for her to get home.

Two people

Not there responsibllity, just the right thing to do under the circumstances.

They can either show all missing people all the time or none of them. It would not be right to pick and choose one missing person over another. It's not really appropriate and it's not feasible.
My children went to Auburn for the game and they told me that there were posters about Aniah all over Auburn. The word is out already, has been out on the media everywhere, and it was out much sooner than a football game.

This map is awesome, thank you! I was re-reading some of the articles and statements from LE, and it sparked a thought I wasn't sure if it was previously discussed here. Recently I traveled from Union Springs, AL to Auburn, AL. My route had me follow US Route 29, which goes through the Tuskegee National Forest. It had thinking that since the vehicle's plate was pinged in the area of South College and I-85 that it had to have traveled that route (I-85 S to Montgomery), but what it if was pinged passing over the overpass at Exit 51? One could travel to Montgomery via US Route 29 to US Route 80. I have driven these roadways myself, and in MOO, this route would be longer and definitely less populated than the Interstate.

IIRC the car was seen on video on South College headed towards 1-85.

OMG! I finally thought up a theory that actually would fit together. What if Aniah did actually meet up with this Eric guy, she had to pick him up somewhere, and then together they were going back to his place but maybe they take that route someone else mentioned that's like back roads or something, a fight ensues enroute there and Aniah loses control of the vehicle which causes her to side sweep something(maybe a tree) and as the fight gets worse she's harmed in the car. This would make sense why she was harmed in the car and the think foul play is involved. It would also explain how the car got to where it did. He could have dipsosed of the body along the way and left the car then in Montgomery, then took an Uber somewhere or even lives in walking distance of the Park Place Apartments. For all we know the person could have dumped the car and walked to a local business and called an Uber.
Good theory and basically the same thing I thought when I posted on October 30 with the exception of the back road to Montgomery. While it is one way of getting there, it is not ideal and not the first thing a normal person or a panic-stricken person would think of. If you asked 100 Montgomery residents or 100 Auburn residents how they would go to/from Auburn/Montgomery...I think all 100 would say I-85. While possible, I don't expect it to be the outcome in my opinion.

I just wish they would show more video shots, because sometimes that can really help the public come up with other clues. An example could be - in the background of a clip, they could see someone they know who has been missing as well, or is acting strange or has scratch marks, etc. or just clues the public in to many more ideas as to what could have happened. That being said, do you think it’s because they know maybe?

Usually when they don't show video there's very good reasons. Just me personally... I'm good with that. LE is in a better position to make that call than we are....especially something as sensitive as the convenience store video. Anyone caught on camera there at the same time Aniah was there has to be run down and cleared before any video would be shown in it's entirety. If those people are not involved....no need to put their faces in the media. If a suspect is on the store video.....it's obvious why they don't show anything to the public. LE can ask for more help if they need it. In this case it seems that maybe they are working on a suspect.

Hoping the perp sees this video and that it gnaws on whatever scrap of humanity may still remain within their twisted soul.
Where is Aniah? Tell somebody or make an anonymous call and give her loved ones and everybody looking for her, some small measure of peace! imo.

There are at least two towns between Montgomery and Auburn - Shorter and Tuskegee - where this person or persons could have ditched the car - the fact that is was in Montgomery (where I live) says to me the perp lives here. Also, as it has been said several times, these apartments are off the beaten path, not visible from the highway, so someone had to know they are there.
You hit the nail on the head. Montgomery was his intended destination and I believe that's why the car ended up there. You are also right...you don't just whip it into Park Place Apts on the side of I-85. It's a couple of tenths of a mile off Atlanta Highway off I-85. You gotta know where it is to get there. Plenty of drop points between the exit he would have used in Montgomery and those apartments. He would have likely used Mitylene or Taylor Road exits because you come to those first and both connect directly with Atlanta Highway. Lots of other apartments, side streets, places of business to choose from. He has a link to that area or those apartments. I would bet he, his friends, or his relatives live there or within walking distance.

Only 1:40 from Auburn Al where Aniah Blanchard went missing. Wonder if connected? Need to look at similarities. MOO

I don't see any similarities besides the age, they are both female, and the time of day. In the AC missing persons case, AC and her roommate were not on speaking terms due to a previous incident that, as suggested by the cited information, left AC so traumatized that she could not sleep in her bedroom where this previous incident occurred.

On the last night AC was seen, roommate took AC to a liquor store, but AC then made it back to the apartment. AC was, according to roommate, gone the next morning, as was her phone, ID and wallet. No mention of keys, but the door was locked. To me, this sounds more like a roommate situation.

So, just in looking thru some older news media, I stumbled across a statement from this article:

UFC heavyweight's stepdaughter reported missing in Alabama

"Blanchard's mother, Angela Haley-Harris, told WBRC-TV that Blanchard was with someone when last contacted by phone Wednesday night. That person's connection to Blanchard is unclear."

The article is dated 11/01, so not sure if it's been updated since, and also not quite sure what it means exactly "contacted by phone".

When I first read that I assumed it meant an actual voice to voice call, but I guess it could also mean text or whatever fancy apps people use to talk with words.

So, what struck me as odd was if it was a for real in person phone call, cause I don't remember seeing that anywhere else.... But I suppose it means a text or whatever

I’ve been thinking for days... what about an Ex’s apartment or ex’s old apartment? A place you know well but no longer have ties to, or your name on any paperwork... ?

.

I agree with the possibility of relatives living near by. If a fellow student has something to do with this-god forbid. They could’ve walked to mom and dad’s house in Montgomery and are very familiar with area since grew up there. Just a thought

If she paid for the chips at the Chevron using her venmo account she would need her phone to access the app to do so right? I didn't notice her phone in her hand in the footage from the Chevron. Also in this video it is mentioned that the store clerk said that Aniah shopped there frequently.

According to Walts interview on the mma show.

Aniahs roommate sent the family the transcripts from the snap chats, so i am guessing they were screenshotted.

She met a guy a week before she went missing, walt and the police have spoken to him but they have not ruled him in or out.

DNA found in the car.

Feels police are not telling the family enough.

His wife has already lost a child in the past. ( not sure under what kind of circumstances)
