Just catching up. I'm heartsick after reading the PCA, there was a witness who could have called 911 to report what he saw? He forced her into her own car and drove away? So then who was driving the silver/gray Lincoln? LE said the POI left in that car?

Just my suspicion, but I think he was seen leaving in that car from that chevron much later on. I could be wrong, of course. I think the witness that claimed "later" he witnessed Aniah being forced into a vehicle by the perp was either too frightened to come forward immediately or was a peripheral associate/accomplice that wanted to collect the reward money. LE's got a lot of sorting to do.

But who knows, this witness could have indeed called this tidbit in much earlier than we think, and LE kept in under wraps for whatever reason.

After all, we were originally told that Aniah may have been injured in her car based on evidence, and now it's being told much differently, outlining a grave condition.

The witness may have been in the Lincoln with him. Watched him kidnap her and the witness drove Lincoln??? Witness snitched on him today ($$ and lesser charges)? Still doesnt explain the car damage. I so wished they would find her today!!!

Law enforcement have said that Yazeed was seen leaving the chevron in the silver lincoln.

yes, i forgot about that detail. still think witness was one of the bad guys and decided to snitch today. i hope if a witness had reported something that night that we would have gotten some kind of alert or... anything. JMO -

I am trying to catch up and figure out if the witness saw this at the same store OR if she was forced into the passenger side at another location? Probably a dumb question and I missed it?

I think that many cities are “backlogged” and/or don’t have organized systems with inputting DNA.. not sure if anyone here remembers that happening in the Hania Aguilar case, but her rapist/murderer had given DNA years prior and it hadn’t made its way into the system yet..

Also, any word on finding this silver town car? Is it possible this witness was mistaken? It obviously wasn’t on camera or we would have seen it by now and aniahs assault and kidnapping would have likely been on video too.. just doesn’t make any sense unless he came back later to retrieve his car.. if an accomplice drove the town car, how would the witness even connect him with that car? And if an accomplice assaulted her and kidnapped her, why would he be connected. Hope that makes sense...

This creep has done this before. Fact. Doubt this is his first time since his last “arrest”,he just hasn’t gotten caught. Hope LE are looking at the other missing women cases in and around the area. I would put money on a link. MOO

I know others on this thread have been sharing that this girl was also missing a little after Aniah, and she was just found dead. I haven't kept up with her case, so I don't know many details besides what I read in this article.

It's hard to say what happened since we don't know whether the witness was involved or not. I want to believe he is because believing someone not involved witnessed a large man kidnapping a young girl and not immediately calling 911 is hard to wrap my head around.
It's also possible IY wasn't the one who harmed Aniah. There is still a lot of details that need to come out as info becomes available.

If it were a gun, wouldn't there be obvious blood spatter on the window? A shot like that from close range would cause high velocity spatter. What I did notice, is that a lot of the men on his friends list that are affiliated with a specific gang and area drive cars like the one observed at the scene but they have larger tires and wheels/rims added on

Okay if they found the perp's DNA or fingerprints, in the car, since he has a criminal record , then wouldn't they be able to identify him? Does that mean they didn't find any?

Sounds as if he may have had some time to clean the car, as it wasn't discovered for a couple of days.

And if his DNA is mixed with Aniah's DNA, it might also take time to separate and isolate the specimens.

Keeping in mind that the police have not yet found Aniah, who may be able to provide specific and more isolated DNA from another person(s).

Long complex article here, but these snippets might provide the gist of the complexity of mixed DNA samples:
In several cases ...... significantly larger amounts of victim DNA are present.
Forensic mixed DNA samples most commonly originate from semen and blood samples, although hair, skin, saliva, fingernails and buccal cells may also be tested. In rape cases, mixed male-female samples are the most common.
Thus, forensic samples may comprise a complex mixture of numerous unique and overlapping major and minor components from different individuals that must be identified for accurate analysis.

This is getting super confusing now!

"During the subsequent investigation a witness identified Yazeed as the individual he observed forcing Blanchard into a vehicle against her will and then leaving with her in the vehicle" from an Auburn convenience station"

So the witness says's they saw yazeed forcing her into a vehicle and then leaving with her as well.

However Law enforcement have also said that

"He was observed leaving the area in what is believed to be a late 2000's model Lincoln Town Car that was gray or silver in color."

I am now wondering if its the same witness reporting to have observed him leaving the area as the same witness reporting to have seen him forcing her into the car then leaving with her.

The case of the other college student in Atlanta missing and found deceased, Alexis Crawford, turned out to not even be remotely connected to Aniah...Her roommate and the roomate's boyfriend have just been charged with her murder. I know I saw a lot of rumors on SM that others thought that IY was involved.

It’s not sounding like the Alexis Crawford case is connected to this one or Cupcakes. Tho I didn’t follow sounds like they suspect her roommate and roommates boyfriend. So sad.

okay. I read the affidavit and it wasn't really obvious to me without more information. I think it could be a couple different scenerios at this point. Although, I do lean toward him abducting her at the Chevron.

1. He does abduct her at this Chevron and comes back to get his vehicle. Witness saw him drive off with her. She grabs the wheel from passenger side and that is where the damage to her vehicle comes from (?).

2. He allows her to leave and damage to her vehicle is caused by his actions to get to her. He abducts her at that point and witness sees that happen. Witness could be accomplice or not.

Either way, he had help moving car(s) around.

UPDATE: Suspect in Aniah Blanchard’s disappearance to be extradited to Auburn

UPDATE (3:00 p.m.) — Ibraheem Yazeed will be extradited to Auburn according to a judge in an Escambia County courtroom. His appointed public defender says he’s not challenging extradition. Yazeed has been charged with kidnapping.

Yes, I wouldn't expect him to challenge the extradition. His mum can come and visit him in AL. His friends might be able to put up some outrage at the 'rough handling' of him upon his arrest. He might be soothed by his previous avoidance of charges in AL.
Heck, he probably even has friends in whatever AL facility he may be housed in. imo

While on vacation many many years ago, we stopped at a curb store I saw a man beating his girlfriend. I jumped in and told him I would call the cops (before cell phones) He backed off of the girl and appolged. My husband drug me to the car and chewed me out for inserting myself into the situation. After I had calmed down he said you could have been beaten or shot.
My first instinct would be to react like you did. My husband thinks more along the line of your husband.

Nah man he wasn’t alone IMO. He stuffed Aniah in her vehicle and drove off and his accomplice or whoever he was with left in the silver car

But Yazeed was seen leaving in a 2000's model Lincoln Town Car that was gray or silver in color. if his accomplice left in the silver car he wouldn't have been seen leaving in it.
