I got the impression that IY was moved to solitary because of death threats from inside the jail, not from the public. (How would moving him inside the jail protect him from threats from outside the jail?) Other inmates may be threatening him over outrage about the crime, or maybe they want to make sure he doesn't talk.

I think the point is if he’s getting death threats within the jail those same people have people outside the jail. They would likely come after him in numbers outside of jail too.

if he is in fact getting death threats he’s safer locked up then on the streets. IMO

Yazeed’s attorney, Elijah Beaver, on Thursday filed a motion asking that his client be granted bail, stating Yazeed had received death threats from fellow inmates at the Lee County jail. As a result, Yazeed has been placed in solitary confinement, Beaver wrote

“If he is able to make bond in this case, he would return to jail in Montgomery County, Alabama, where no such security concerns have been identified,” Beaver wrote.

Told them what? I simple made a statement that every hotel I have stayed at asked for proof tag information, model ect...

Sorry, didn’t mean to offend if it came across that way. This string was about the idea that if IY stayed in a hotel in Pensacola, they might have information about the car he got there in because they would have required it at check in. Someone said that hasn’t been their experience, and it usually isn’t mine. You said it happens to you a lot, so I was genuinely just curious. I’ve been asked for my car info at a couple of hotels, but always just self-reported it at the front desk. No one goes out there to check my car. Presumably if IY was asked for a license plate number and car description, he would have lied. Especially if he was stupid enough to be in a car involved in a recent crime like the silver town car. I was just asking if anyone ever checks the make/model/tag you give them, as this could be helpful if so.

Kidnapping suspect Ibraheem Yazeed has not submitted any evidence that he is being threatened in the Lee County Jail, according to a response filed Thursday night by the State of Alabama.

“He asserts he needs to be transferred to Montgomery because he is being threatened in the Lee County Jail yet has offered no evidence in support thereof,” the response filed by Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes on behalf of the State reads.

The response states that the State believes Yazeed “wants to get back to Montgomery because that is where he has friends and where he has been allowed to evade prosecution,” the response reads.

True. I was thinking the implication was that a bunch of Bubbas would take the law into their own hands.

Those messages on snap spread like wild fire. And then others start spreading More inaccurate info. It’s like a game of telephone.
A gun went off in my girls school last year and within seconds every student got the message over snap and by the end of the day it was amazing how many different stories came out of that and over snap.
Here’s the thing. If Aniah did communicate with an Eric over some dating app LE and her parents would have that info from the app company. That’s how David Eisenhauer was connected to the death of Nicole Lovell. It’s all traceable.
And just because they don’t have her phone doesn’t mean they can’t access her account(s). My girls have friends who get their phones taken away only to use a friend’s phone to log into their snap accounts and communicate on their friends device.

I know what you mean, but this was a chat conversation between Aniah (?) and her roommate. The only way for it to spread is for her roommate to have told Summer about it. Summer shares the name Eric on Twitter the same day Aniah is reported missing. It has always seemed unlikely to me that one of the first things Aniah’s roommate did was call Summer to fill her in.

And, even if she did, Summer doesn’t even get the day that Aniah went missing correct in her original tweet. You would think if she had just been given the story by Aniah’s roommate, she would say “my best friend went missing last night,” not, “has been missing since Tuesday.” She seems really out of the loop to know such a specific detail. So I do wonder if multiple people knew about “Eric” in some way.

Beaver also filed a motion Thursday for Blanchard’s family members should be included in the gag order in the case.
“The arrest warrant in this case states, ‘Auburn Police met with family members of Aniah Haley Blanchard, alias, in reference to a missing person complaint.’ Thus the victim's family members are clearly ‘potential witnesses’ in this case and subject to the Court's gag order,” the motion reads.
Angela Haley-Harris and stepfather Walt Harris after they “knew or should have known about the court’s order in this case.”

Beaver’s motion also states that Harris has made statements that constitute a threat to Yazeed’s safety. The motion cites Harris’ interview with WBRC in which he “states that he was at the hearing and, ‘You could see the evil on this guy,’ referring to the defendant,” the motion reads.
The motion goes on to state that Harris felt rage and wanted to make Yazeed feel pain, which constitutes as a threat to Yazeed’s safety, according to the motion.
Beaver added in the motion that “if the court is going to allow comment to the media that all parties should be allowed equal access to the media to avoid effect on potential jurors which would prejudice the outcome of this case.”

The only way that Eric makes sense to me is if the message was typed by the offender.

The offender who didn't know that Aniah has been travelling and at a funeral all day. The offender who didn't know that Aniah had just dropped her brother off. The offender who had no way of knowing that Aniah had no discernible time yet that evening to be with any new guy named Eric.

That was heartbreaking to watch. I live in Alabama and not far from where Aniah grew up. Her mother and stepfather are so upset...I just can’t imagine what they’re going through.

I will say these threads, news reports, etc. de-humanize these people along with the numerous podcasts and TV shows related to missing people/murder/etc. IMO-I saw an old video of Aniah dancing to a Post Malone song with her step dad and younger siblings taken by her mom. It absolutely wrecked me. Proving this could have been ANYONE. I ask that we all pray so hard as we read this. I pray this family gains answers and ultimately closure.

This article is confusing to me. Is the implication that if IY was given a bond & bonded out of Lee County, he would go straight to Montgomery county jail? He was already out on bond for attempted murder and armed robbery when he kidnapped Aniah & I think these charges were in Montgomery.

Yes that’s what his lawyer is saying. His bond was revoked in his others case in Montgomery County. So either way he has to remain in jail. He’d just rather be in Montgomery jail.
