IMO jealousy could be a motive?

Well she had a date which could have been a cat fish that set her up to be caught
I don’t think it’s ever been confirmed that she had a date. This was most widely pushed by the friend on Twitter and she seems really questionable. I would think LE has already spoken with her, but if not, they probably should.

Completely and utterly heartbreaking!
It was very hard to watch. I cannot imagine the pain these parents are going through. It took a lot to be that well composed. I do not believe she is still alive but I pray I am wrong.

In this crazy world you get exposed to so so so much when you venture off on your own & leave the nest so I can see how a friend of a friend of a friend maybe partied or had some type of exchange with someone that eventually brought the wrong person Or ppl amongst her or her friends who have no idea how cruel and evil intentions the wrong person or ppl can be so MOO not a set up but maybe there was some type of connection idk ...... Strong & Optimistic are all the parents are trying to be.... praying for answers for them soon...

Not saying it’s correct, but how about the roommate or a possible guy friend sending a Snapchat text “hey can you pick me up ____ on your way?”

It most certainly COUPD have been planned
Ya my first thought Goes to roommate too. Not that I want to accuse anyone but unfortunately lately there have been quite a few murders by roommate. And this roommate was the last one to be in contact with her. I wonder is this a new roommate? Is she known to frequently wait up for Aniah as she did that night? All just my opinion and curiosity.

I would think rob and rape her
I mean a motive for her to be set up...perhaps to be just robbed?
Perhaps it just all went haywire...or...there could have been more sinister intentions?

I know the Harris family wants to hold up all hope for their daughter. I just do not see how this was planned.IY had no way of knowing she was going to stop at that convenience store that night.

I am not sure what to make of this new information. If it was planned for whatever reason, it was poorly planned at best. Someone could have been following her, but why snatch her at a gas station filled with potential witnesses and not just follow her home where there would be less of a chance for witnesses to see?

I said early on, I hope it was not a mean girl situation. Little did I know that Alexa Crawford would be a mean girl situation.

The roommate makes sense to me too. The easiest way for those Snapchat messages to get sent was by someone in possession of both phones, to direct police toward “Eric” and to give the roommate an alibi by saying “I’m going to bed.” That being said, at least on social media, she seems incredibly genuine. Her pain over Aniah’s disappearance feels real (unlike SW on Twitter), and they seem to go back a long way. On paper I think the roommate is a good guess, but I just don’t see it here. Just IMO.

I am having trouble with the new information as well. I do not believe it was planned but if it was I think the motive would have been kidnapping for her step daddy's money. The Harris 's may not have a lot of money but a person like this guy would not know that they would see big dollar signs. He robbed and beat two men earlier this year. When caught only the older man was in the car. I think they were going to try to get him to give up his banking information.

@Quill
I feel like Angela and Walt put this little tidbit of information about a known person to Aniah being involved out either recklessly or calculated. They know what the buzz has been on SM. I tend to believe the latter (calculated). I hope it puts the pressure on whoever it may be and they lead them straight to Aniah!! (And Alice!! )
Speculation only.

I thought he had been accused of raping a 50 year old family member? Have I confused my cases? Someone set me straight on that if I am wrong. I have been absent dealing with an injured pet that required traveling to have a significant surgery.[/Q

I've always wondered since IY was seen on cctv in the chevron store....why commit a crime when you place yourself at the scene of a possible abduction?

Is he that stupid? Did someone think he was that stupid?

I don’t believe it is her roommate. Aniah’s mom talked about how the roommate has been an absolute wreck to the point she has to have sojj mi some stag with her every night because she’s so scared.

I hate to point fingers but I’ve been suspicious of Summer since day 1. She’s the one who tweeted(the tweet was in MSM) Aniah was meeting up with a guy she met on a dating app then completely back tracked a couple days later saying that they don’t know if she met with someone or not. She’s supposedly Aniahs best friend but her SM is very weird imo!

I have not heard of this.

Hmm.. I do not follow on other social media sites so I am not sure where I got it from but I know I read it. Let me delete that post just in case. @peppertheyorkiepoo if you wouldn't mind deleting the quote, that would be great. Thanks.

I don't think he did get her at the gas station, the car had damage perhaps he was following her and hit her car later cause an accident get her to get out of her car
