If he was frequently at the hotel and the store I hope they have went through older surveillance videos (if available) to see what he was up to and who he was with. Also, I wish we knew exactly when they left for Florida and how he got that busted eye. Did he Already have it when they detained him or did the cops give it to him?

... and how he got that busted eye. Did he Already have it when they detained him ...
I wondered the same thing so I researched how long swelling (mouse) lasts from an eye impact. From what I understand, it would not have been remaining from the time of the abduction. If we can find the long video from the extradition arraignment in Florida we might be able to get an idea of how recent it looks.
I would also like to look at his hands.
Someone with graphic art skills might be able to take screens shots and enlarge those details

I think the black eye came from the cops. He was complaining about that when he was arrested. Some people thought it may have also come from the dog that helped apprehend him.

He was taken to the hospital after the arrest because he was complaining of chest pain (and also because he clearly sustained some type of injury to the head/face) - they should have done a pretty extensive workup and noticed any other wounds. I think those records are probably the best bet if there were any injuries left from the abduction.

I'm wondering if Dave Johnson was the one that tipped LE to his whereabouts in Pensacola and that's why he wasn't arrested for transporting a POI. Maybe an informant. JMO.
I was kinda wondering that myself. Like why throw his name around in the public like it’s no big deal that he transported a suspect in the middle of a freaking manhunt for him who was WANTED on kidnapping charges. That seems like a pretty major thing/person to me. IMO the only reason I can think of that they’d do that is if the guy literally had no idea what was happening...IY just asked a buddy for a ride & the guy said okay & dropped him off. & as soon as Johnson realized what happened, he called the cops & they cleared his story. I guess you can call that being an informant? But otherwise, idk why THAT guy (Johnson) isnt sitting in jail with IY. I would think LE would have had to clear him not to arrest him too (informant or otherwise).

The search party suspended their search for this weekend and are trying to get the word out for hunters to be on the lookout due to hunting season starting tomorrow. I’m not sure what areas hunters in the area generally go to but if she’s out there hopefully the hunting community can help solve this case
I agree. That’s a LOT of extra eyes in the woods. Some deep off in the woods. It’s been posted all over different alabama hunting groups on SM trying to get the word out. I think it’s super important bc this area is prime hunting in Alabama...especially Macon County. Everyone I know goes hunting in Macon County at some point. Lots of hunting camps deep in the woods. I def think it was the right call to call the search off. WAY too dangerous. Hopefully most hunters will stay extra aware.

I was wondering if he was making such a big deal about it at the arrest to cover for it actually happening during the abduction, but I don't think it would have lasted that long.

I also noticed it the clip of the hearing I saw as IY walked back when it was over he seemed to look at a woman with long partially red dreads and big eyelashes...anyone know who that could be? Someone there for him perhaps? I could only see her for a split second. Did anyone else notice that?

I noticed that as well. I thought he was trying to see who was in court but he did linger on her.

If the trip to Florida started before afternoon of 11/6 driver would not have known IY might be the POI. IY wasn't ID'ed on SM until that evening. LE didn't name IY as suspect until morning of 11/7. The driver may have taken action as soon as he knew.

As for the swollen eye, IY kept saying as he was loaded into the ambulance that the cops hit him "for no reason".

I forgot about the chest pains, I bet he did have a struggle with the cops. He probably tried to run from them.

It was posted further back in the thread that he hid from the police and they had to haul him out of his hiding spot as he refused to come out.
I imagine he could have sustained his black eye as they were trying to get him out of his hiding place.

I recall they sent a dog in after him? Resisting arrest is hazardous to your health, maybe he didn't know that after all the times he has interacted with LE? o_O

I don't think you were answered (my apologies if this is repeated info) but if I recall correctly, the gas station cameras only pointed at the door of the gas station and did not film the rest of the parking lot. I'm sorry I don't have a news source to back this up, but perhaps someone else can assist.

I was in Auburn today and stopped at that Chevron. You are correct, the camera is at the top right corner of door facing directly down at it.

I honestly don’t even understand how you get arrested 26 times.

If I had done anything near this I'd be in jail still. He has people that pay him to get out and run the dirty parts

I went there too today! I guess just wanted to get a feel spiritually for her and do some praying for answers to come and peace for her family.
