Yeah, and I don’t think they are saying that this might be “foul play,” merely because it is a possibility.I'd say that's a safe bet.
I think they know that to be the case.

Wow! Hello to you too!Right here's another one! Raised in both the Auburn/Opelika area and Birmingham.
Nice to meet another Alabamian!
Greater Birmingham area over here!
BBM:
Absolutely.
For one thing, LE will want to determine the earliest someone at the complex noticed that vehicle being parked there.
That can help them narrow their timeline.
JMO.
There are almost certainly security cameras at the apartment complex and it is supposed to have a gated entry. They probably have a good idea on the timeline already.
Her car was seen near I-85 in Auburn. Most likely that's the route Aniah took to Montgomery. The apartment complex is close to I-85 also.
If she did meet this guy through some sort of dating app (like Tinder), then it’s probably a matter of time until this guy is located.
Tinder stores a wealth of user data, and has been able to provide game changing information to law enforcement in past cases.

Alabama folks all around. Bham area for me as well! Also in B’ham area, with a son at Auburn.
Oh gosh, been away for most of the day. I see the car is damaged, looks like it hit something concrete. I'm thinking the concrete that light poles in parking lots are embedded in (rounded edge, not straight). What if Aniah ran into something because there was a struggle in the car?View attachment 211450
Blanchard’s damaged SUV was recovered in Montgomery Friday night
“Anyone having information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle between the 23rd and the 25th or witnessed an accident or other collision involving this vehicle is urged to contact the Auburn Police Division,” said Dorsey.
Investigators release new info; foul play considered in missing Auburn teen case

Reading through all of the Google Reviews on that complex, I'm dubious that there is secure, gated entry.
Sounds like that gate has been broken for at least a year, unless it's been recently fixed.
Also, questionable whether there are security cameras at that location, again based on reading the resident reviews.
JMO.
I’m so sorry about your mama.Praying so hard that Aniah is found ok. My Momma passed away last month from pancreatic cancer and today is her birthday. It’s been a hard day of crying and missing my Momma but I can’t get Aniah off my mind. She’s on my Daddy’s mind too, as he is worried about her. We have been up talking about what could have happened to her and how there are some evil people out there. Last month here in Alabama on Interstates I20 and 459, a car tried to get me to stop and on my car’s tail late at night and to this day it still scares me. My dad believes the person was trying to get me out of my car but I sped off so fast when the other car made a complete stop on the off ramp. The car followed me for a few miles. I pray something like this didn’t happen to Aniah. Our local community is still dealing with losing Cupcake and now another missing beautiful girl. Lord help LE or others find Aniah!
BBM:There may be cameras on businesses in the area. There is a reason the APD, MPD and the FBI are not asking the public for help. Someone called to tell them the car was there, so they probably have a lot of information already.
The complex is not in a great area of Montgomery. I'm pretty sure there are cameras around somewhere.
Agree... I think I agree that some business nearby likely have cameras outside that may pick up the vehicle. I hope.Reading through all of the Google Reviews on that complex, I'm dubious that there is secure, gated entry.

Agreed... I drove through Montgomery a week or so ago in the rain. This is reminding me to look at the weather for when she went missing. Although likely not a factor at all.A good bit of road work and bridge work on I-85 right now between Auburn and Montgomery. A great chance the vehicle grazed or hit the concrete barriers set up on the outside of the lanes. The areas where there are bridges being replaced are far too narrow and if you go through one with another car, much less one of the 18 wheelers that are so frequent on this stretch, especially at night, it’s pretty nerve racking. I make this drive about three times a week and I hate it. If a person had been drinking, using drugs, driving recklessly, or not paying attention, it would be so easy to mess a car up.
Do we think they are able to do this without her phone? They’d likely have to have someone with passwords to accounts or requests for those various companies/apps to share data, correct?Great thinking about L.E. working with the dating app for information. This will likely be the best route to whomever she was planning to meet.
This, in addition to the L.E. scrutinizing Aniah's phone and computer data, should help in identifying the person she was planning to meet - as well as where they planned to meet.
Was my thought too. A struggle.Oh gosh, been away for most of the day. I see the car is damaged, looks like it hit something concrete. I'm thinking the concrete that light poles in parking lots are embedded in (rounded edge, not straight). What if Aniah ran into something because there was a struggle in the car?
Oh man, this has me all kinds of worried now.
hoping so! I also think this is why they’ve asked to not share info to social media. Because reports of the car being there first surfaced on social media. People don’t understand to just call police! They think, hey I’ll message the mom, then post cuz she didn’t see my message. There may be cameras on businesses in the area. Thanks for sharing that. They aren’t, however, asking for anyone who might have seen her at the places she supposedly was, or knew who she was with. It seems like they are asking, if you know where she is now or witnessed the wreck.BBM:
Who says LE isn't asking the public for help?
LE has definitely been asking for the public's assistance.
Vehicle of missing 19-year-old, Aniah Haley Blanchard, was found

The vehicle was recovered, however, damage did occur between the last time it was seen on Wednesday, October 23rd in Auburn and the recovery in Montgomery on October 25th.
