I don’t have a link, but on WVTM, his attorney said they will appeal & will use Aniah’s Law to show it was already determined their client was guilty.
His attorneys make me angry!
I will say this...if IY didn't have the criminal history he has, I could see where there's a possibility of others being involved. However, IY has an extensive history of violent crimes. I'll be curious to see if they appeal and what that process looks like

I don’t think these charges have been resolved:
IY was charged with murder & attempted murder of a man & woman. Alleged he was killed in the woods.

There’s a lot of chatter about IY being convicted without “DNA evidence”. Hello, DNA is fairly new from a historically perspective & lots of crimes were solved without DNA.

The state said in closing arguments that he was on video getting out of and into her vehicle. So there's proof he was in her vehicle. So they don't need DNA to prove he was in her vehicle. Summarized what he said but he made it clear that just because they didn't find DNA didn't mean he wasn't there

Here are the other 2 cases he was charged - don't know what happened to these.

AL – Ibraheem Yazeed was out on bond on charges of attempted murder & 2 counts of 1st degree kidnapping, 2 counts of 1st degree robbery & possession of marijuana in connection with a January 2019 crime. According to court records, two male victims – one of them 77-years-old - were held against their will in a hotel room (SureStay Motel) in January 2019 on the 1200 block of Eastern Blvd. The older man was beaten until “unconscious, unresponsive, severely injured and near death” & robbed of a Rolex, rifle, handguns, wallet, bank card, clothing & unknown amount of currency. The other man was also beaten & robbed of at least $40. Bond was $295K has been revoked (12/5/19). Montgomery County

*AL – Stephen Hamby (29) (Dec. 1, 2018, Montgomery) & injured Geraldine Talley (54) shot in face, but later died of natural causes - *Ibraheem Yazeed (29/now 34) charged (6/25/20) with murder & attempted murder. Montgomery County
