Sedric Clayton was sentenced Wednesday to spend the next 30 years in prison...

District Attorney Randall Houston knows Washington and her family. He prosecuted her ex-husband for attempted murder; calling Anita a victim’s advocate, Air Force veteran, and beloved by her community.

“It started way back when the husband shot her in the head, and it’s been going on forever,” Houston lamented. “This is a person who did not deserve in any way, shape, or form the things that happened to her.”
