HUNTSVILLE | A vehicle belonging to missing man Audie Harness has been located in a remote area near Bull Creek south of here, Scott County Sheriff Brian Keeton said Sunday evening.

Keeton said that his department received a call about the vehicle just after 7 p.m. Sunday evening. Authorities responded to the Bull Creek area and were able to locate the vehicle on a four-wheel-drive road.

The 70-year-old Harness has now been missing for more than three weeks. He was last seen on Saturday, May 4. A missing person report was filed a week later, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued a “silver alert” for Harness on May 13. Keeton said on May 12 that Harness does not have dementia, as had been reported on social media, but does have a medical condition that might prevent him from returning home without assistance

Not found till today - It's sad how many elderly people get lost and are never seen again, or are later found dead. They should be equipped with GPS or tracker wristbands.

I would HATE to be forced to be equipped with a GPS/tracker, just because I'm 'elderly'. It should be a person's own decision if, and what, they need to be safe. Of cource in a discussion with their family, and if needed, health care provider, and not something that's forced upon them.
