At a news conference, Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connelly said Logan Rogers, 28, has had his charge upgraded to capital murder in the death of Autumn Strickland.
He was initially facing murder charges; however, that was changed due to the intention of the crime. Court documents said that Rogers took Strickland’s car and hit her with it twice.
Now that he is charged with capital murder, Connelly said they would be pursuing the death penalty.
