According to the Covington County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Brandy Nichole McClellan, or Brandy Crouch, was last seen on August 27 walking along Highway 331, near the intersection on County Road 18 at the state rest area in Florala.

A release from the CCSO says McClellan was last seen walking with a white bulldog and a smaller brown dog. She wore a red sleeveless shirt, black shorts, and a small backpack.

She is described as 36 years old, weighing approximately 125-130 lbs, and standing at 5'7.

The last known location was the US 331 Rest Area, where she was spotted on foot. Her mother has access to her social media and has been posting in hopes of finding her.

Her missing pictures are concerning. In the street photo she looks very underweight (in my opinion) and is barefoot. I'd not recognize her at all if all I had to go with were her social media photos. The other photo appears IMO to be a mugshot. I found one arrest for her in 2024, for domestic violence. Unverified, but family on FB was reporting the dogs returned home 2-3 hours after the photo was taken.

I wish I knew the county in which the booking photo used in her missing poster was located for more detailed records. In Alabama, Covington County, Covington County, AL | Official Website she had a 2013 domestic relations case (dismissed) that shows her last name as SIMS Crouch. Date of Birth matches the missing woman.

There are 2 Brandy (Brandi) Sims in the Southeast US area with arrest records but ages/race do not match her. I couldn't find anything else for her under the name Sims in Alabama.

Lastly, another photo of her from that last day, posted on the Sheriff's FB page Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman. Looks to be same clothing but looks like possible bruising on her arm IMO and she appears to be favoring one foot, possible injury to leg/ankle.

This case just tugs at me, it's obvious to me anyway she's dealing with drug addiction (possibly meth) but she looks terrified (yes, I know drug induced paranois a possibility but doesn't detract from what she was experiencing).
