I've been reading the site you linked to plus the wifes FB page and don't see anywhere that she said she deleted phone records .She stated that detectives had his phone and were checking for deleted messages. There was also a message stating that she had tried to access the messages which I see nothing abnormal about that.Thats the first thing I would do if my bf was missing.

Its possible that BW was waiting on the swing as told to do by abducter and the abducter took her and left before the wife came home.

LOL keep reading!!!
she is trying to get Brittneys phone messages!
Verizon or whomever is the provider wont give it to her she brok the code on Brits phone..... Keep reading....

WWH is not her mother and its not her account.
She is not allowed access to that phone but she did...

I don't see anything wrong with trying to get the phone messages under these circumstances even if it is not allowed. She seems to me she desperately wants to find out what happened,is all.I still can't find anywhere that she says she deleted the girls messages.I would not suspect anything unless she actually said she, herself deleted messages.

The neighbor said she waved but Brittney did not wave back.I'm wondering if it is normal for Brittney to not wave back.If not, then it means possible Brittney was afraid to get friendly at that time because she didn't want her neighbor to get involved in a dangerous situation.

But they are all family,so in my opinion they all just seemed desperate to find out what happened.Still can't find where she said she deleted phone messages.

No it is not ok. IIRC WWH was in the conversation when the cousin said she accessed and deleted "irrelevant" messages from Brittney's phone and she did not deny it. imo bc i can't find the page again.

If my sister hacked into my missing daughters phone and deleted messages she would be dead to me forever. It is just so very very wrong. In fact as I said upthread, if it turns out brittney's dead thanks to Uncle Donnie or someone who knew them, it is criminal behavior.

Who in their right or wrong mind would HACK INTO A MISSING PERSONS PHONE AND DELETE MESSAGES that could give LE a clue unless it was to cover up something.

Not saying she is involved with BW's death (imo dead) but she knows something detrimental to her hubby. How can BW's phone ping near styx and she say she was with hubby all night?

Well my guess is she was not supposed to be there.
she told her family she was going to a friends house!
Maybe she didnt want to be seen!

It is possible UD picked up BW but from the comments about "only if she found a ride" and other comments suggesting BW went places "by foot" all the time, I lean to her being picked up by a driver hitchhiking.

If they weren't local theyw ould never even hear of the missing persons case let alone connect it with a hitchhiker they picked up.

But who said Only if she had a ride?

Why was going there?

  • #274
And why woud they say "only if she had a ride" if she told family she was going to a friends house, Why would she tell family she is going to a friends house then call her mothers sister and ask to go there that just makes no sense at all.

I believe the only person that knew she was going there was UD

what a strange case....
first of all, I have 2 daughters, and while they are not old enough for phones yet, had my sister or anyone other than me, my husband or the police HACK (and my husband and I will have thier password info) into their account and delete messages, I would be LIVID.

Are there any charges that could be brought up on this? If so, I would be bringing them. It is NOT her business. Her own husbands phone, she can do whatever but someone else's child? NO WAY. That just SCREAMS she is frantic to get rid of anything relating to her husband in what could be an inappropriate texting, etc.

I think at some point she was picked up.

He shot himself with a shotgun? really? My hinky meter is on the wife...maybe she found out something and took matters into her own hands.

I agree deleting messages would be called that, but just accessing them to me is just a desperate family member trying to find out what happened.Unless Wendy herself stated that she did indeed delete phone messages I could not find anything that would point to her as being the killer.

my hinky meter is raging here too and it normally quiets when it comes to family but there is just to much being said and done that makes no sense even with my ability to make excuses for people

Nothing excuses hacking into the phone of someones missing daughter (without their permission). You give them the pw if you guess it or call LE. We have a child missing here, it isn't something to mess around with.

My working theory isn't that she is a killer (even though its not far fetched to wonder) but that Uncle Donny killed Brittney and then took his own life at what he had done. She just wants to cover it all up and wnats there to be no cnx between the UD and BW. That means there is something to cover up and I do believe she knows what it is and is hiding it.

If he killed her, he or the wife wouldn't have had too much time to hide the body.Where's the body?I'm sure they have searched all around the area by now. That scenario doesn't make sense to me.And where is Brittneys blood if she was killed?

It looks like their home was only 15 miles from the Styxx house as the crow flies. It may have taken 30 - 40 minutes to drive between because of back roads, but I don't really consider them separate locations for the time period. It could be very easy to run between them, even without a spouse noticing.
