Hi folks...just jumping in here...I was surfing the walls of various family members' fb pages, and noted that the uncle's wife posted on someone else's wall that she was going to donate his organs, so I think that may clarify a bit re: previous discussions about organ donation comment. hth

TY! Makes sense to me..I think what WHH meant re: organ donor is after an hour in his condition it was too late to donate..I don't think anyone expected him to live that long..Once he did they left it in "God's hands" & IIRC it wasn't too much longer after that he did pass away.

eta..I just saw where she said to his daughter she was gonna "donate" his organs but this is also when they were talking about taking him off "life support" so I guess I was wrong about my statement above..Now I'm thinking that 'hour' was after that happened & for whatever reason they weren't able to work it out with a recipient before that 'hour' after he passed was up..I do recall now that ppl waiting for a transplant have to get to the hospital ASAP when they get the call there's a donor for them..IOW! They must never be too far away.

BW's mom posted on her FB about 20 mins ago. She is requesting help from people to put up fliers in Grand Bay area. So, I'm thinking the cell phone GPS info might be accurate. No reference to that being the reason that they are looking in that area or when that GPS info occurred, but they do appear to be refocusing their efforts.

It appears that the deceased uncle has older child(ren) from a relationship prior to WWH. Does it appear to others that way? There's a "THW," the "W" not being "Wood," who appears to be the bio daughter of uncle DH and step-daughter of WWH? hth

She's def the bio daughter of DH..She talked about her "dad" passing away & praying for her "step-mom" & "brothers & sisters"..We know she has 1 half-sister & 2 half-bros from her dad's marriage to WHH..How many others there are we don't know but at least 1 other sister & this brother that spoke to the media.

Yes, it was BA that I was referring to as BW's uncle. I think he called BW his niece and I am pretty sure he referred to her mother CW as sis. I thought maybe CW's maiden name might have been the same as BA's last name. I wasn't sure thought. I still have not seen or heard anything about the new search except from BW's family fb pages. I just got back online though.

Also, I just wanted to say that I have been surprised that this case really is not getting much media attention. I work and live in Tillman's Corner and have not seen many flyers around. I put some up at work and that's almost the only one's I have seen. I see many of her fb friends coming and going, but no one even seems terribly upset or worried. Atleast to me.

I think you are right and BA is not a relative. On June 9th he posted on CW's page and started out saying "sis", but ended with "your friend".

I know that we can't quote from FB, but BW's uncle posted information on a couple of public pages that the family would be meeting at the last known location of Brittany's phone. He specifically says that this is the "last known location of her phone": Oasis Travel Center located on I-10 at the Wilcox Rd Exit 53. The comments were made on June 8th. He doesn't say why the family believes that this was the last known location of the phone.

It would appear that some of the folks that are posting things on FB are more about making trouble than sharing accurate info. Some of the stuff that was posted was down right cruel, including one person that posted that BW was deceased and that law enforcement were actively dragging the river for her body. The same person keeps posting wild comments on news sites and then deleting the comments. A friend of the family jumped all over the statements and said none of it was true.

Has anyone at the Oasis Center been questioned?......

Has the place been searched?

Is the Oasis travel center like...a truck stop? I guess I can go look it up...okay, yup looks like a truck stop. Out in the middle of nowhere, it appears from google earth? I don't know...I'm on the opposite corner of the U.S....but I know truck stops aren't necessarily the safest places for young ladies, yeah? I assume that's the same across the nation?

I wish we had more information from something besides FB...like, where and when exactly was her phone found? Was it even actually found or are they referring more to where it pinged last? Was her phone found at the truck stop?

It bugs me too how many of the posts on her page/about her, seem to be more of the "come home it'll be ok" variety rather than the freaking out variety...I hope she is alive and okay, but I also hope she isn't hiding out scared to come home now due to all the attention...but at the same time, where would she be hiding? for this long and on what resources and with who?

Just typing out my random thoughts It seems like the death and disappearance HAVE to be related, I mean what are the odds? But at the same time, what are the odds, you know? Maybe it's the weirdest coincidence ever? *sigh* this story is just baffling.

New article dated today, tells about le going over cell records right now. Also mention her phone started ringing again & every time a call goes to her phone it'll ping off of a tower that it's nearest to. So, somebody has her cell IMO. Hopefully it's Brittney.

Could she have witnessed her uncles death & maybe panicked, so she ran away & just kept running?

If Brittney is deceased, then why would somebody have kept her cellphone instead of destroying it & throwing it into the river?

Where did the Uncle state this? As a young child BW was in Grand Bay a lot. She and her brothers often sought help from a local church because of her home life. Maybe something scared her and she has come to the one place where people have tried to help her in the past. I hope she is found safe.

Do you think she maybe witnessed her uncle shooting himself & it freaked her out? Maybe put her in shock?

I dunno, but seriously doubt it.. Her 'daddy' got custody last April according to a new poster 'in the know'..Sorry, I forget her name

eta..She said it was shortly after BW got busted for being in a car=meth lab.

If he got custody, there would be a record of it...right? Bc they weren't married, and bc they weren't together with baby P living with Brittney, wouldn't he pay support for his daughter & wouldn't the courts order paternity in such a case?

Also, about the meth... A meth charge is handled a lot different than say a mary-j charge. If she was in a car that had meth in it, she's not just going to be let go without an incident report having her name on it. She may not have been charged but her name would have been taken for the official report bc somebody had to get charged & after all she was there (according to the poster that knows this). I wonder if we can find the report... When was the incident? March or April? Maybe we can go through reports from certain jurisdictions to figure out who was busted with meth, maybe try to figure out her inner circle...

I personally feel something hinky is going on here. So many lies and I do not remember, make me thing there is more to this then is being reported.

At the start, I thought this girl shot her uncle and fled. After I read about the two homes and all, I sort of started to believe he had murdered her and dumped her in the river. This new cell phone revelation has me back in Camp A.

If they can call her, can they text her, too? I would be sending messages to let her know that it's okay for her to come home and to suggest that she might have a strong defense against a murder charge if she had been a victim of some sort.

If she was at a truck stop, perhaps she caught a ride out of there.

The oasis travel center is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but its large and always busy. It's like the walmart of truck stops. Still., things happen in walmart parking lots all the time. I hope LE did review video there though.

I think it would be mind blowing for someone to be carrying around a dead girls phone in this day and age. I think she is hiding out., and I think some of her friends know it. I think she may have turned the phone on just to let her family know she is alive.
