Would that be based on phone pings only?

I'm not sure how law enforcement came up with the new information, but I think it was based off cell phone GPS data. I am getting that mainly from piecing together the bits of information off of FB pages.

The one thing that I keep going back to is that BW didn't have a car. How was she doing all of this traveling? Why has no one come forward to say that they gave her a ride? I keep thinking that with the way that gossip, especially malicious gossip, spreads among some of these folks that if someone had admitted to giving her a ride, someone would be spreading it around.

Do we know why BW's brother (DW) was in jail? I have to go back and reread media articles. It seems odd to me that she disappeared while he was in jail. Crime of opportunity for someone?

I have to say this is one of the oddest cases that I've followed.

Was Brittney's ex (PMH's daddy) shot with a gun while PMH was in the home, by somebody that either lives with Brittney or was visiting her family? If so, why & was the shooter arrested? Also, was this on Brittney's family's property?

Looking into everybody in Brittney's inner circle leads me to truly wonder if she jetted bc she's flat out afraid of the people she's chosen to surround herself with, as well as her family. Btw, that is not judgmental - deeper investigation would show any outsider far more negative aspects in her life that have absolutely nothing to do with social/wealth status but a whole lot to do with bad choices by herself but mainly by her family.

I feel sorry for Brittney.

Were you able to find anything on BW's relationship status? I've noticed that several people have asked if she had taken off with her boyfriend, but I don't know if people are assuming that she has one or if she did have one and we aren't hearing anything about him.

I have to agree with you about BW's inner circle. BW was exposed to a lot of potential risk just by hanging around with some of the people in her life. I wonder if some of them are keeping a low profile because they have things to hide that have nothing to do with BW's disappearance.

Still holding out hope that Brittney will be found safe and sound. I have more questions than answers on this case.

The Hometown Search for Brittney FB page has been updated to say that MPD has new evidence that leads them to beleive that Brittney traveled to "Grandbay, Al in the early morning hrs on Thurs 5/31".

The family will be handing out fliers in GrandBay, Irvinton and Bayou La Batre.

Cell pings, security camera video, and interviews probably led police to this location.

Does anyone else think it odd that LE called off official search in Styx River area on Thurs I think due to the fact that they found out her phone was turned back on six days after she became missing.....we knew that last weekend. What is the deal??? Are they that slow? Surely they know more than they are revealing. They really seem rather cool about this search as if they believe she is alive and missing. Just because her phone was turned back on does not mean SHE turned it on. Whoever gave her a ride may have turned it on. I get the impression that she is a sweet girl unlike some of her gangster looking self centered FB friends. Hate to say but IMO if she was alive she would have let her mama know by now that she was safe. Anyone else agree?

I agree but a lot of her acquaintances were/are involved in drugs, get into fights, get arrested, have been in jail - and not all in that order. The stuff they all post online could very well be due to their age, but still...just sayin'.

Chessie informed Jane Velez-Mitchell that Donnie had financial problems, like most all of them do. Well then how the he!! could he afford a rental home/condo that's miles from the home he lives in with his wife? & what's up with all the "Girl's At The Condo" pictures? He's old & taking pics of teens in bikinis, focussing on their hineys & other body parts? Wth? Yet no history at all that makes anyone in his family question this? Jesus! I mean, really?

Ok now here i get confused!
I thought WWH went and picked up Don and they went to fairhope then she took the kids someplace and when she returned home he had shot himself.

Then i read Don dropped them at friends house!

Jersey I agree about the Album on FB with the creepy pics. Maybe BW was involved with the uncle in some way - drugs, or some illegal money making scheme. I keep going back to her walking barefooted to his place 40 miles away at 730PM. This did not seem outrageous to the famiy -- as if this is normal everyday behavior (Really???) To me there had to be something very important to do at DH's styx river home to walk there. Certainly a trucker gave her a ride which is why her phone pings at a truck stop.

I dont know if my facts are straight so correct me if im wrong but the truck stop wasnt the first place the phone pinged ..last time the phone was used it had pinged at the styx location ..now days later after searching etc the phone suddenly is turned on and pings at the truck stop, and shes apparently on foot. I wonder if the cops are just going on cell phone pings and dont have much else. if so next week they could be searching somewhere else. I agree she would have gotten ahold of family by now..

I thought she had dropped DH off and took kids somewhere, and i never heard of anyone being able to say where BW went after the midnight call from styx area. i didnt read any FB posts tho.

No way she was a juvenile if this happened in March 2012. She could not have been under 18 then and be 19 now.

Wait, wait I am sooo confused. I thought DH was found at the Styx River home which is near Grand Bay not the Fairhope home address. aka Turkey Branch

And leave the "social status" out of it. Bad things happen to people - rich or poor or somewhere in between. If it has not been brought out in MSM or by LE as a factor in the case, it is not necessary to judge by it in the threads. Leave it alone, unless you connect it up.

So it's more than her cell phone pings. It seems she was actually seen in Grand Bay. Still, we have her aunt WWH (Donnie's wife) trying to hack Britt's phone to delete messages, so I have to wonder how reliable this sighting is.

WWH's sister? MWK share the same opinions as to when/where events occurred. Britt's family seems to be split down the middle.


Also we have Brittney's mom Chessie Wood giving public appeals. And in the above video is Stephanie Hanke - Brittney's step mother. To add to the confusion I read Uncle Donnie's last name is actually Hanke, not Holland. So would make him related to both Brittney's mom and step mom?

Confused? Do we have Uncle Donnie's obit? Perhaps that would help determine the family group.

ETA: all these names are taken from MSM articles. They have spoken to the news about Brittney.
