I guess I'm failing to see it as an actual connection because I don't buy into conspiracy theories much.

These people are poor, as in welfare - govt assistance and Donald had filed for Disability. They sold loratabs (street value 3 dollars) and everyone rents - no one owns. I will never believe they sold anything like this, because if so - they would have been busted long ago (they are not educated or street smart, they just fear LE) and while they could have still collected govt assistance and made $, they showed no outward sign of living above their means. None.

I'm all about throwing theories around, but some of this is just flat out off the wall and only for Hollywood.

Agree. And that is how the family survived. But Donald is dead, pills and disability have stopped, right? Maybe I made another jump in my thinking, but consider all the arrests since May 2012 and lawyers aren't working for free. The search warrant on Wendy's computer is Nov 2013. 10 days later Jockish is arrested, and besides with that name, I'd have thought it was a clever internet handle myself. We can move on. It's a very minor detail and probably unrelated.

I just thought of this. Since DH had already been qualified for disability, once he expires his family is entitled to survivors benefits. The wife will receive benefits until her youngest child reaches 16 years of age. Each of the children will receive benefits until they are 18. All checks will go to the mother.

Not sure how this will work with the kids not living at home with the mother? And, of course it is my belief you cannot receive your benefits while jailed. However, at the time of DH death, you can bet those benefits were applied for.

I'm betting those forms were filled out evem before good ol' uncle Donnie did away with himself!

Picking up on your point of who gets the cheques if she's in prison - im guessing although I dont know for sure because things are done differently here in the UK that either the guardian whom the children are in the care of recieve this or your equivalent of Social Services recieve the cheque on behalf of the children

Since it's state related (govt) it goes to the court appointed guardian. Whomever is taking care of the child since the funds are in place to support the offspring.

I just noticed you are verified LE. Could you answer in a round about way how phones that are used in undercover stings (drug buys etc) work? Do they still operate as a cell phone? I'm really confused on that and it's one of my theories on somethings.

Thank you!

I'm not exactly sure of what you are asking. If you can be more specific I may be able to answer.

Has there been any search in the Tillmans Corner area since BW's disappearance?

Lawyers aren't free but as far as I know, Wendy didn't have an income so she would have one appointed to her. In some cases that's as low as 10$. I know someone who works as a stripper that has a serious felony case going on, she spent 6 months in jail because she couldn't afford bond at 1,000 (that's her 10%) and her court appointed atty for trial etc is only 60$

I'm trying to figure out how to word this without going into some huge story.
On someones discovery (court file) that I read, he was set up and busted at a later date because the informant used a cellphone (verses a wire) into the "buy". It was used to record audio and video, it also transmitted text and phone calls. This was all in the discovery, along with the grainy footage. This was not a paid informant. this was someone who was busted with PI charge and rolled on where he bought his stuff from.

My question is: if Brittney had been given one of these phones to work as an informant by LE, could this phone work for more than the calls or be allowed in her possession for more than just the times required to get information? She had a new phone issued to her because she had been on Wendy and Donald's phone plan. It was abruptly changed and she had a new # etc a week or two before she went missing. The phone was a big deal with Wendy and Chessie as they wanted to know her password to get into her voicemail.

Wait a f'n second!

Everyone! Didn't chessie say the phone battery in the car was Brittney's? How the hell were they able to get into her voicemail without the phone? I know you can call #'s (I haven't tested this theory since the 90's!) that are landlines and access voicemail that way - but on cell phones does it work that way without the phone?

You call your own number and hit * or # during the VM recording. Then enter your passcode. IIRC.

Thank you! I literally never check voicemail and I only remember calling my old landline back in the 90's to check messages. I wasn't aware you could still do this.

The more you know ;)

Wonderful to know people who are responsible are contributing with their taxes to not only the legal defense of these losers but supporting them as well. It chaps my butt to begin with but what they were doing as well......it's infuriating.

Yes that is correct. I'm sure (on my provider anyway) that if you input your passcode incorrectly 3 times you have to phone the provider to unblock the voicemail account. Would be interesting to know if thos was the case in this instance and if so whether anyone called the provider

RSBM

A cell phone can be a surveillance device using the cellphone's own capabilities, initiated remotely and regardless of whether the power is on or off. Cell phone transmissions can be intercepted and/or tracked in real time with no apparent indication to the owner.

This has been public knowledge for years(so no trade secrets have been revealed). Possibly since the Genovese family prosecution in 2006?.

Yes, cell phones are easy to hack without access to the phone. The British press have been doing it to celebs, the royal family, politicans and the families of murder victims for years. One former editor even warned others;
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ed-hack-phones-2002-claims-Jeremy-Paxman.html

Having said that, what I've seen of stuff that went on at the time of Brittney's disappearance, has given me the impression someone had her phone in their hand.

I think Chessie is unlikely to be an expert on phone batteries, so I'm not sure I trust her assertion Brittney's battery was in the car, but it does make me sad. That car and the contents could have provided vital clues to Brittney's disappearance - but it sounds like people were free to crawl all over it, and it was never properly searched. Any evidence would have been lost. :(

Has anyone actually seen said battery? Have LE verified that one was found? I know that theu wouldn't say for definite if its Britts as I dont believe you can identify individual batteries.

Does anyone know what make/model phone Britt was supposedly using? Many brands have batteries which fit other counterparts I.e some BlackBerry phones use the same batteries as others in the BlackBerry range. It doesn't necessarily mean that a specific type if battery has come from a specific kind of phone. Hope this makes sense, I'm just kinda thinking out loud

I have never once read the specific phone, which is odd if yet the specific battery is known. Follow me?

And I agree with what was said up thread about the car, contents of and someone having Brittney's phone in their hand. I don't think Brittney's phone went missing till after it was turned back on in an attempt to retrieve messages, after calling it didn't work.

Most of us read those facebook msgs by Wendy.

If that pic in the newsclip is really of Donnie's foot in the car, it does look as though there is something shiny metal under his seat. I'll have to find it.

Even if it is a battery though, I don't see any reason why it should be Brittney's though. It doesn't add up.

.

Exactly. I've spent the last hour or so scanning through previous threads to see if was ever mentioned but I can't see as it was.

Also depending on the type of phone it was many phones nowadays have online cloud storage facilities which automatically upload data saved on the phone to them. My phone uploads all of my photos and documents I store on my phone plus copies of text messages and messaging service conversations such as whatsapp. Would be interesting to know if Britts phone had these options. If it did and she felt threatened then who knows what could have been uploaded
