to whomever was interested in the incident with my macbook pro that I spilt cream soda into: On a whim I decided to dig it out tonight and plug it in, just to see if it would charge and if the damage remained the same. I was *just about to send it to Apple and have it fixed for 800.00

Guess what powered up and I'm typing on right now - with nothing amiss and as if the entire incident of cream soda pouring into the usb port while it was not only plugged in but also turned on? My macbook pro.

Whatever case it was in which they thought the macbook was damaged because it had gotten wet, I let this sit in my briefcase since Thanksgiving, checked on it about 2 weeks ago (the screen stayed black then) - it's now dried out and works as well as it did before.

CHARGES NOT DROPPED; BOND REDUCED

The judge sent Moore’s case to a grand jury, but also lowered her bond from 100-thousand to 10 thousand dollars. Moore will have to wear an ankle monitor if she makes bond.

“We’re happy that we went ahead and got a reasonable bond here today and one that she can make because Jennifer is no danger to society,” Dassinger said.

Moore also can’t have any contact with children, except her own under supervision. DA Dixon says tackling each of these cases aggressively is important for a resolution.

Wait a minute, was JM's attorney trying to get rid of the child abuse charge?
I thought they found her production of child on her own equipment - her phone - which is evidence, IMO. That charge alone is serious.

Yikes, this really happened fairly recent! It's hard to dismiss the fact that she must have chose to not protect, but rather to record a child being abused. She has children, and from what I understand was a semi-assistant scout leader.

Really, what was she thinking? How did she get mixed up in this? Was this the only time, or is it just the only event with some evidence? In cases like this, JMO, counseling for all the children, not just the victims, should be part of lowering the bond and letting people out wearing ankle bracelets. I find myself feeling sorry for the children having to feel confusion or shame for their parent's actions, or being bullied at school.

Also, to put it in some kind of time perspective, Brittney went missing about eight months later.

Wasn't Donnie staying at Jenny's Styx river cabin? Isn't that where Brittney phone pinged the night she disappeared? Wasn't Jenny with Wendy when they found Donnie with a gun shot wound to his head (with a girly gun)? Didn't Jenny hang out with Wendy after Donnie died saying they were BFF?

Absolutely not. That had to be mortifying for the child. I do hope that the proper services are offered to the young lady that she may learn to heal from this experience.

Besties forever then? I hoped Jenny would cave to save herself. She must know something about the most important stuff. Involved in helping her friend. Those letters...

I hope the tone of prosecuting the arrested will not lend towards easy sentences. It is wishful thinking that "now they will certainly change their ways cause they got in this trouble." Child victims carry the memories a long time. This went on, and the adults weren't even concerned about their damage to the children. I don't know if they can change.

I am appalled JM and CW both can still have contact with their own children. Was does 'under supervision' even mean? I don't believe Chessie has the same court order regarding contact under supervision. Unless 'under supervision' means a social worker periodically visits their homes? All the children abused are someone's child, grandchild, niece, nephew, cousin, etc...they victimized CHILDREN. Imo, these sick individuals should NOT be allowed around ANY child. WTH? If the courts cannot keep these people in jail, the least they could do is keep them away from ALL children. Smh, ugh!

I am not sure if it means the same thing everywhere but I do think there are different degrees. In NYC, my cousin-in-law was only able to see her children with a social worker present. The aunt/guardian brought the child to a social services office for visiting day where a lot of other families were having visitation. (recently she really screwed up and cannot see them at all). A friends relative in NYC was able to retain custody of her kids but she was never allowed to be alone with them so her in-laws moved in and one was always present. I believe that there were periodic unannounced check ins. The cousin-in-law was guilty of severe neglect mistreatment. The other case was not so severe and I think she eventually was able to get normal custody.

Agree. These people shouldn't be allowed around any children, even if there is a social worker or some other type of supervisor present. No way. To let these people have any form of contact with children just opens the door for something else to happen to another child. Also, there's no way a social worker, cop, or other type of official can be around 24/7 to make sure these freaks aren't having contact with any children.
