Exactly. Call a spade a spade. Both those terms do make it sound more like two consenting adults and make it sound much, much less horrible than it really is.

The "logistics" of the abuse, and the afterwards- ie, if JM does get bail- must be rather incredible! I have a gay friend who reckons he can identify other gays, even from an interview on the television, (people he has never met), can child abusers recognise other like minded scumbags I wonder? Is it possible that a person who is not like minded was ever "propositioned" to take part in the abuse by any of these abusers?

If your spouse was arrested for the same offences as JM, I suppose your reaction would depend on your view of their guilt, but you would hardly be putting out fresh flowers on the day they were bailed, surely? You would have a lot of questions, wouldn't you? Especially if they had spent a lot of time with the likes of Wendy. Did Wendy ever babysit her kids?

What about the folk that have been bailed? How do their neighbours feel about them being home? I think I would literally die of shame in their shoes, but these people don't seem built for remorse or responsibility?

And would you just fall in to abusing a 13 yo and film it as a once off? How does that happen?

My dad always said that there's a difference between a "lady" & a "woman". With all due respect, I think she's definitely not a lady. And I doubt she even qualifies for woman status either! Lol

Wondering if the cash to get out will only be about 500 bucks if only 10% is needed. Seems she would get right out if that low.

Seems to be an awful low bond/bail for these types of charges. I have a bad feeling that some of these perps are going to get light sentences when this is all said and done. It is happening already it seems.

Im getting worried they are not going to prosecute to the fullest extent with these folks. I hope I am wrong

After watching the video does anyone know how a Grand Jury process works as far as whether the defense and prosecution has to attend the grand jury and present and defend like a mini-trial?

I think i understand the purpose of the grand jury is to see if evidence is enough to proceed to a trial and if more charges can get added or reduced, but I dont understand how it works. Like does the defense attorneys and prosecution attorneys have to be present to present all their information during grand jury proceedings?

If they have to be present then it seems like the defense would want to put up an aggressive defense with all kinds of witnesses and stuff because now would be their chance to maybe get charges reduced or dropped.

Jennifer should be out if it's only coming up with $1,000 on a $10,000 bond. What's the problem? How many times did Dustin get bailed out? Chessie made bail too, didn't she? No sense fighting for a lower bond if you don't have a way to come up with the money, IMO.

You are correct about having to have collateral for the entire amount.
Unless she has property in her name she may be having trouble getting official paperwork to prove she has the assetts to cover the collateral. But someone else could cover the collateral for her if they wanted to. Maybe nobody is doing that for her.

This is interesting to think about and nobody wants to ever think they need to have assets to get themselves out of jail. And paying off a home loan enough to get enough equity in the home is also consideration. Like even if you buy a home, the bank owns the home until you begin to pay off some and build equity. I bet the bail bondsmonds only allow the equity portion of a home loan to be used as collateral.

It kind of makes you want to pay off your home in case you ever need to bail yourself out of jail on a large bail. Just another reason to throw that extra 100 bucks on each months house payment.

It seems strange to me that Jenny's family didn't have a pre-hearing bond arrangement already planned. And even stranger to me that now almost a week after the reduction, she still has not been released on bond.
Is it possible that the prosecutors are objecting to the reduction? Maybe, the delay is not the lack of family support and resources? IDK.

there could be a # of reasons why she's not bonded out:
Her family doesn't have enough money/collateral.
Her family feels she's safer in there then outside.
Her family feels she's guilty and wants absolutely nothing to do with her.
She's spending as much time in jail now, because each day shaves 1 day off her sentence if her judge grants her any time served.

Yes, there are many possibilities. My query is more a legal process question, though. And possibly the correct word I should have used instead of objecting is appealing.
Is appealing a bond reduction even a valid consideration in this particular situation?
Considering all those and wondering if this one should be added to the list of possibilities. TIA for any legalese information.
