How does it change a timeline? The link no longer takes me to the article you posted.

The link works for me Willow Knight. Hope you can find the article. As I said, IF TRUE, it changes the timeline of when Brittney went missing. She was last seen May 30, although her phone pings early morning May 31. Donnie was shot June 1. So, not the same day. Then again Donnie didn't die the same day he was shot. Hope that helps :)

Hope it helps.

In addition, there's some interesting posts from a friend of RSW about his whereabouts starting at Post 151. Gosh, years have gone by.

In my opinion, it is likely misreporting. DH did not die that same day and when he did actually die he wasn't in any condition to speak to Brittney.

Ok. I must have read that statement over and over and did not focus on 'the day DH died'. I do forget DH didn't die the day they found him at times. Sorry about that.

:bump:

I haven't been on WS as much lately as I'm busy with getting ready for baby & work (I'm always tired these days). But Britt, Steph, Wally, baby P, and their family as well as all my friends who post here are in my thoughts. :)

Been reading this since the beginning. Just wanted to point out, I noticed that one of the victims indicated she was told she was being taken to get a hamster when she was brought to WB. Didn't another (I believe the other victim) also get lured with the hamster promise when taken to meet with DK (I believe that's who it was, it was a situation in a car with DH and a another). SO sad that this happened and continues to happed with others:(

Thanks scott! I knew there was something uncomfortably familiar about the victim's testimony, but I couldn't place it. I assumed my brain was drawing connections to another case or something. I looked back at old threads for a link. I feel physically sick after rereading the two "hamster" statements together.

I saw on the news that DK is being sentenced tomorrow. I wonder what he'll get...

Hoping these victims feel empowered by this verdict. The weather is absolutely beautiful here...I hope they ride home with the windows down and the sunshine in their faces.

It's not just the verdict, but the speed with which it was handed down. Not one single doubt about the veracity of this victim. Not even close to a doubt.

Teen's disappearance helps reveal Ala sex ring

Eight of Woods' adult relatives and three family friends have been charged with dozens of felonies in two counties as the alleged members of an incestuous ring that authorities say shared children for group sex. [Donald] Holland was the leader, prosecutors say, of what has been described as the largest sex ring ever uncovered in Alabama. Wood was a victim and likely key witness.

"Brittney could have been huge," said prosecutor Teresa Heinz. "She could have corroborated so many things."

Wood is presumed dead, but authorities haven't found a trace of her and no one is charged in her disappearance.

Does anyone still believe Brittney walked away on her own?

Yes, I saw this article too. It's about time it got some national attention. There's over 900 comments.

"There are innocent people in this and there are guilty people in this," Wood, 39, said in an interview. "I don't know how the judicial system is going to figure it all out because they're not the sharpest tools in the shed."

"Chessie Wood, accused of having sex with a young female relative, said she had no idea what was going on in the family until after her daughter's disappearance."

"The No. 1 thing here is to find Brittney. The No. 2 thing is to get all these sick (people) off the streets," she said."

RSBM

I think it's possible she walked away of her own accord and I couldn't blame her for wanting to start a new life; fresh slate with a new identity.

Soooo long ago when this all went down I thought the same thing. My thinking then was that Britt knew all the noise this trial was going to cause, and having already in her short life experienced the kind of negativity this kind of trial brings- she ran. I am sorry to say that even though it is still possible, I don't think she did. She may have thought about...maybe even planned to go but I don't think they let her go.

Shout out to Steph for doing the interview and not giving up on this. So glad to see Britts story out there, thanks to the Associated Press too! The shot to the back of the head is newly released information, as are the past reports to CPS. It may have been 2 1/2 years since we began following this case but it continues to evolve and keep a spotlight on these monsters. I am hoping Wendy gets the maximum....that 20 mins from the jury for Brownlee was likely them peeing and getting coffee, they had no doubts - i hope the rest of the trials go that way too. It's been a long wait but we are finally seeing some sort of Justice here..... i just wish we could kill these monsters, be cheaper and they'd never be able to do this again..... i think most are beyond rehabilitation.

Red Bold By Me (to answer)

Yes, I always thought she left on her own - and I'm still under that impression.
Would like to add - more blessings to her if she did leave.

:tyou: for the opportunity to share my opinion.
