Did someone other than BW's stepmother post the message on the Hometown Search page? If so, he/she must have been reading here, and the stepmom deleted the comment.

It was someone from out of state who had been reading here and commented on the hometown FB page about the girl spotted in TN and that it probably wasn't her but someone should follow up just in case.

I find it very odd and perhaps even a bit disturbing that comments are deleted off that page frequently. It makes people think that no one cares or are not doing whatever than can to help find her.

It seems like the only posts that remain are about sending prayers... which is all well and good but it doesn't help with communicating about potential information that may or may not lead to BW.

:ignore: just sayin... sorry... :maddening:

That Hometown search on Fb dosent get much attention either!
What gives?
Seems like no one cares. Or everyone knows something and we are the only ones that dont!

I know, That's what it seems like to me too. I just can't wrap my head around all of this.

Yes, it was some man that had been reading the comments here & Went and posted it there. Maybe they just didn't want any false hope to people?

I know, it seems to me that they would be glad that so many people care and want to bring her home.

One would think!
Have you noticed there are no fundraisers!
No T shirts or bracelets being sold...
No rewards or monies being offered for information...

You cant raise money if ppl are not aware
Look at Mickey shunick ppl are sending money from all over the US
for sierra Lamar also!

This boggles my brain!

I saw the comment & saw the followup comments. It makes total sense to me, not to raise false hopes to the world. It was handled properly by private message but then someone posted it publicly. The family chose to not have it public. Why is that odd?

Especially people in the south. I live in the south and I promise you there's always some kind of fundraiser going on. Every week it seems like.

Hi. This is my first post, ever. I have been following this thread from the beginning and have a couple of observations/questions...

On 06-20-2012 at 1:57PM Zeaux posted that BW's latest boyfriend was in TX. It was also posted (I can't find the post) that AH was allegedly shot by that same boyfriend. Then, in a different post (I think by Zeaux, but again I can't find it) that BW and AH got back together for a short time but it didn't work out and that the boyfriend was "obsessed" with BW. So you can see where I am going with this, right?

Can someone please verify if the boyfriend even exists and if so, did LE talk to him yet?

I know, There is something very "fishy" about everything. I would move mountains to find my child if one of them ever came up missing. But, Prayers do go out to her family. I couldn't even imagine what they are going through. My heart is very heavy for them.

Let me clear this up, and Kate is exactly right. I had sent a private message to BW's step mother because I know the likelihood of it being BW is slim (a .01 chance is still worth the call!!), and because I'm the one who ended up calling with 'Honesty'. Someone named "Pete" is lurking here and, probably out of genuine concern, posted a pretty um... excitable... post on the search page. I found it inappropriate in light of the situation and apparently BW's step mother agreed because she deleted it. I am in conversation with the step mother and she is very concerned and making all the appropriate contact with authorities.

I agree with that as well. But what I think we are referring to is how much attention the case is getting. Not to why they deleted that one comment. I would have deleted it also. I just think it is sad that this poor girl (No matter her back ground, NOBODY is perfect) is missing and LE is not making it a very big deal. I live here in Mobile & I have seen the flyers and a few news broadcasts. I just really think that with all the bizarre twists there should be way more attention.

It's not fair to compare the different families that have lost their daughters. The differences in abilities, resources, economics, social media streams, circles of influence, and search & rescue abilities are obvious. We are Brittney's social media team. WS has had her case FEATURED since inception (I think). This family needs all the help we can give them instead of criticism where their needs are greater than all the others.

I am not criticizing the family. I am criticizing how LE is handling this case. This girl could be anywhere hurt, hungry, scared, or something very worse. But LE just seems to think she is hiding somewhere and wants her to know that she isn't in any trouble. It seems that all they are worried about is her background. It shouldn't matter about her background or anything else for that matter. It should matter that she is missing.

Agreeing with Kate, but at the same time it IS odd that not even bystanders are posting prayers/ condolences/ etc.

I'm not sure the community can separate the 3 uncles and the missing mom.
