Tons of info in threads about DH sharing/giving drugs to BW. He had bad back and used/abused oxy. That could be a reason her family might want her away from him to help curb her drug use. CW found out about DH's sex abuse investigation after BW went missing.

Let's say this is the reason BW went there. Then what? What would a motive be for foul play, what would a motive be for taking off?

It bothers me big time DH had BW's gun. I hope LE has gone through all vehicles he had access to with a fine tooth comb. I guess BW could have sold him the gun for cash to take off, but why would she want to take off without a trace?

So, what are the thoughts on this. It seems pretty plausible to assume BW was aware DH was being investigated and what he was being investigated for. It also seems reasonable to assume BW kind of 'snuck' around to go see DH, from all the comments stating BW told her family she was going to visit a friend but really was going to see DH.

What are the theories of WHY she would want to go see an uncle that was being investigated for sexual assault, and why the somewhat sneakiness about it?

Links to a couple of posts concerning that from Zeaux (verified insider)

2. Her immediate response following DH's suicide is to run to his and BW's phone. This just is not normal behavior. Further, it would be one thing if she just took a quick glance through DH's phone to see if there was anything on it to give her answers as to why DH killed himself, but she didn't do just that. She was taking extra effort to view his and BW's phone activity. And even beyond that, she was deleting evidence from at least one phone and at least trying to from the other phone. Again, just the fact that her first reaction is to look at the phones is questionable enough, but the efforts and lengths she went to followed by deleting evidence is just damning in my opinion.
.

I agree! I would be devastated. What really bothers me about her trying to get BWs phone records - is that she POSTED all of what she was doing and how frustrated she was..on a non-private facebook, open to the world, out there for anyone and everyone to see.
IMO - the least crime she should be charged with is Hindering an investigation (both in DW's suicide and BW missing). I believe it goes further than that.

Thanks for the links. I've read almost everything, but I missed a few pages here and there. I'm interested in trying to get a little brainstorming going, like if x, y and z happened, BW might be ???.

I'm also a little confused about LE sequence of events. They say the investigation has been going on for months, but they also say they have a victim/witness, and when they brought in one of the suspects for questioning, he confessed. So I don't quite get if a victim comes forth, why it would take months to bring in someone for questioning, or, if a suspect confesses, why it would take months of investigation before any arrests are made. Am I just looking at this wrong and/or missing something?

RSBM

Now we hear about family owned hunting land. Remember we were told that DH didn't own a gun when we discussed his suicide with BW's little 25 caliber pea shooter. I always thought that odd because pics showed 2 mounted animal heads on wall in his home.

Did you notice that CW says she has known DH since she was 6??? We heard rumor that his family had adopted or raised the twins...thus WWH ended up marrying her own bro...remember that??? I wonder if his family did raise the twins if she's known him that long! :waitasec:

So BW went to beach with him...wonder if that is the condo???

If DH's family has hunting land...maybe they have a condo too. I'm just speculating here. I have no facts, but I always wondered how they afforded all those trips to condo.
MOO

Regarding the condo...
WWH's bff JGM has a friend (E)LK on myspace that states they have a condo for rent, it's cheap, $50/per night or $600/month...and to pass it on if you know anyone that would want to rent it. (posted Oct. 16, 2009...wasn't able to check the "condo" picts for dates)

This probably should be in the social media thread but wasn't sure about copy-pasting your post there....

Yes, in some cases it does take time after victim comes forth. An trained investigator usually with Child Protective Services interviews victim/siblings/parents. Initially audio. Then video if needed. Parents might not cooperate don't answer door/don't show up for interviews. A physician might examine child. They have to interview other victims that come up. Investigator has to interview perp. Info is then turned over to court. During this time, victim is protected from perp.

This whole scenario can change if the perp confesses to police first, etc.

Edited to add...these are my experiences in my professional role.

Okay, so if they question perp, and perp confesses, does perp immediately get arrested?

I don't know answer to that one.

It might depend on who they confess to. LE...or Child Protective Services (DHS) and local law/statutes.

In my state, DHS workers who investigate reports of Sex Abuse/ Extreme Physical Abuse are actually State Police, but they do not wear police uniforms.

I've seen cases that started out as a regular abuse/neglect case. When sex abuse reared it's head, the investigator turned the case over to the State Police investigators because of their more advanced training in area of sex abuse.

Side note...I once made report to DHS because of severe physical abuse with bruising and solid witnesses to child's story. Child/siblings were immediately removed from home. It was investigated and abuser was eventually charged with abuse in court.

I found out later that in this particular small town and state, I could have called LE first and they would have arrested abuser immediately for assault/battery.

In my previous state and city (large), if I had called LE first...I would have been directed to call DHS.

Okay, so if they question perp, and perp confesses, does perp immediately get arrested?

In the state of Pennsylvania if someone confesses to a crime sometimes they do not arrest same day. A perpetrator can always recant their confession based on a list of reasons. Therefore, LE sometimes waits to make sure they have an "airtight" case. So, if a confession is recanted they have other evidence to prove their case.

Well, well, in reading the newspaper this morning there was an article about BW. Apparently, DH shot himself in the head, not what was stated earlier. Which brings even more questions and has my brain rattled!! Also stating that he drove his black SUV to a secluded clearing overlooking Fish River. The ambulance then transported DH to the yard of a nearby home where a helicopter could land and take him to P'cola hospital.

Could the reporter think that the chin was on face...so he just said the head?:waitasec:

Instead of saying I am more confused after reading above link (which I am)...I like to think, "I am now confused on a much higher level than before".

Sonya has kept quiet through most of this and probably should have kept it that way. Nothing to make me raise an eyebrow other than the denial she is in. First, I notice she conveniently omitted DH from the list of people Brittney would visit, stating it was only Mendy and her cousins, mind you one of those cousins has been arrested too Sonya. And yes, just because someone has been arrested doesn't mean they did it, but with the number of arrests, the admissions already made by some family members, her making such a statement is the ostrich burying its head in the sand and what allowed this type of atmosphere to be created.

Why did she say Mendy? Wouldn't it have been Wendy?

Good catch. I was thinking of the talk earlier about how Brittney liked to hang out with DH. I just find it interesting who she decided to list by name, omitting the likes of WWH, DH or DH junior or others.

Like one of the posters of the comments in the above article, I too wonder why a paternity test was done a year ago???? The little girl is 2 so it would have been after she was born.....There really is so much more to this story that we havent heard, but I am betting there was some talk/rumors about Brittany and DH and therefore the DNA test on the baby.

Has it been established on here why she did not have custody of the little girl???? there surely was a lot going on behind the scenes here and am thinking this family was way way too close and for many years by the sounds of it.

Every thing appears to be hunky dory in Sonya W's world. Her brother, brother in law, nephew and a neighbor friend are all charged with incest, rape and sodomy, but it's all "allegations" in her mind. !FFS! MOO

In their path are multiple victims between the age of 12 and 16 who, according to law enforcement, were raped and sodomized by the immediate family. Good Grief!

Hi y'all. It's taken me a couple days to read everything and catch up.

There were at least two comments made that I have questions about. One was about a post one of the nephews (I think) made that had to do with Geocache ( think it was). Does anyone know what that post was and if it had a pic?
The second was a post that CW made about some one leaving an ugly comment and picture on her facebook or the facebook set up for BW( I think). What does anyone know about this. I found the person who made the post from some info that was left on the site, but I don't know what the post was. Do any of you? Both of these happened in the early days of BW being missing.

A paternity test could have been court ordered due to child support.
