Has anyone here been following the Mickey Shunick case? Ive been following it loosely.. but I do know the sex offender they arrested was driving a white pick up truck.

Hasnt a white pick up truck been mentioned here somewhere?

Is the truck stop where her last ping was from located off of I10?

Any chance this creep could have also gotten Brittney??? Im hearing rumors he is a serial killer.

Just some thoughts to throw out there.

In April and May there was someone in a white pick-up trying to snatch up younger girls less than a mile from where Brittney lived.

BL, the suspect in Mickey's case, had burned his truck by the time he could possibly have come across Brittney, which seems unlikely anyway as he was very busy in LA and/or TX during this period, what with disposing of evidence, meeting with sex offender officer, filing an appeal to have himself removed from RSO status, all between May 26-May 31st.

If so, I seriously do not understand the following LE Quote:

"You have to call it what it is. Right now she's a missing
person, and until we get evidence to suggest that something else has happened to her, you just have to find her. She's still missing," said Cpl. Chris Levy.

Mobile Police say the search for Brittney is still very active. Investigators frequently receive leads that so far have not turned up the missing teen.

Apparently they get leads Brittney has been seen in a house or an area but nothing checks out. Do they really know something or what are they playing at?

I do my utmost to be supportive towards LE, don't want to get the thread closed, it is a great facility to have. If I said what I truly feel :furious:

Is there anything we can do or say? I am shocked!

Personally I believe LE is being led on a wild goose chase!
I think they are told so many things their heads are spinning!

I am holding onto faith that LE has knowledge we & family are unaware of or that LE is just getting their ducks in a row behind the scenes.

Speculation here: If LE feels DH had something to do with the demise of BW, they don't have to worry about a killer on the loose. They could be gathering facts to see if others were involved/aware of the crime. moo

I read it as saying that BW is missing, but they have no evidence showing that someone harmed BW.

So...speculation again...Does LE have to tell us everything? Could LE actually think a crime was committed, but they have to find evidence of that crime before saying that to the public? OR could LE appear to be dragging feet because they know she is safe? MOO

I speculate that DH was a Master Manipulator!

I think he groomed/abused/used many people. He didn't work but almost seemed to be viewed as the "patriarch" of the family at times. The "hero, protector, rescuer, friend, funny guy".

He manipulated people to adore him and not question his actions/motives. MOO

It's been said that BW was picked up by DH, near her home. Anyone know who saw her get picked up and the description of the vehicle? If this has been answered, apologies; I just can't find the answer.

As far as I can tell, Brittney hasn't come back for one of two reasons; guilty involvement in some sort of criminal act, or she has become a victim of such an act. LE is not concerned ( or so they say) with BW's being " missing"- because she is most probably an informer/ witness. ( witness protection NOT protective custody- we've been through this) If LE didn't know where she was, they would be concerned.


LE doesn't owe the public or any "feel -good" organization arranged by the caring public anything or any explanation during the investigation and trials of this tribe. If the family is upset...too bad. They should have been more worried about her and all their kids( girls and boys) a long time ago.

I have to agree with you. I live in Mobile, and I have believed for a long time that BW is giving all the details to the police. Do I have evidence of this? (no), however, i do have friends and I know people within the police department, and there is no way that a missing person (no matter what side of the track you are from), just gets swept under the rug.

I just believe that it is deeper than just the surface... Yes, Klaaskids has been here, but I have only known of 2 searches that were put on before they (Klaaskids) suspended the search. They are still here in Mobile/Baldwin County, but not sure what they are doing (jmo)

I find it very interesting that foxnews asked if family members could have hindered the process and they answered with definitely a possibility.

I am thinking alot more people know alot more than us.

This is one case where we can say that this girl knew too much and therefore she may be dead....killed for fear she will/has say/said too much or alive because she has bolted because she is involved in some way or alive because the police are using her as a witness.

I am convinced that whatever happened, happened after DH picked her up. At this stage I think she is in hiding and DH and probably WWh had a part in it.

Please dont get angry at me for what I am about to say, but some people have said that she wouldnt leave her little girl for that long. I dont think the little girl was Brittneys no 1 priority. I think this girl was involved in so much bad sh.t and the fact that she had lost custody to a boy of just about the same age speaks volumes to me.

And while I say this, I certainly do feel sorry for her. This is a case of a poor kid not having much opportunity in life, her parents have moved on with their new families, drugs and sex at a young age is rampant, guns and violence already in her life, no education and probably no idea of what a wonderful world can exist out there.

I am not totally convinced that DH killed her. They were very close and I also think it is suss that the baby had a DNA test after it was born......no doubt either dad had issues it was his or even aunty W may have had issues, certainly would have been rumors and gossips............and I am sure DH was the issue.

While I also think that DH abused BW, I dont think she probabaly saw it as abuse but maybe more like a sexual relationship type thing. I think sexual abuse and sex at a young age was very normal within this family and therefore I dont think that any of these woman knew how wrong it was.

I have read alot of comments and of course the FB page and I am thinking either DH was a victim himself or definitely witnessed it. So for those saying it DH was the monster (and my god he was) from what I have read RH his dad was up to the same tricks. Now remembering that there were rumors that his dad adopted the twins and CW knew DH since she was 6, chances are that this child abuse started when all of these characters were kids and has gone thru the generations. I think because of this they have a skewered sense of sexual right and wrong.

My opinion is that DH knew what was coming, he was close to BW, she has been involved with something.......definitely the drugs part. Maybe if the LE were investigating him for the sexual charges they also would have definitely known about the drug connection and he would be charged along those lines as well. This is where BW was involved.....the MILKMALL......

So maybe DH that night aided in BW going into hiding, ie giving her money etc as they knew the storm was about to blow. He obviously was in huge doodoo.

I just think it is odd the LE reaction......some say its like they are ignoring she is missing, I think it is more that they know what she was involved in and maybe what charges were coming her way and that it is a possibility that she did bolt.

I noticed that and thought it interesting given that we hadn't heard anything directly concerning Klass Kids recently. Dennis was shown live on video which confirms the interview took place.

Spent hours today checking local15tv videos for comparison purposes. They seem to have a limited number of clips that they repeat [no problem there] but I couldn't find a previous version of the LE clip used last night. The reporter also said she was reporting LIVE from Mobile; she was outside the police station and LIVE splashed on the screen!! I am getting seriously cynical.
