Brittney supposedly acquired the gun not long before she disappeared. Her mother either saw it or Brittney told her about it. It's been so long now that I can't remember the details, but I believe she actually saw it (Brittney was "proud" of it). When Brittney acquired it, it only had 2 bullets and she never got more.

When I looked up the gun it said it tended to jam on the third bullet. Just an odd bit of info that might explain why it only came loaded with two bullets

Just bringing over some info about a missing girl from Duson, LA (near Lafayette), Keiosha Felix.

Keiosha's case & Brittney's case have some similarities (though they are NOT connected in anyway) as far as family members & family members' friends trying to muddy up the investigation and being charged with sex crimes & abuse.

And the way some in LE have handled Keiosha's case makes Mobile PD's handling of Brittney's case look absolutely stellar (I know that's hard to believe...you really have to check it out). Like Brittney, Keiosha is also a teen mom & seems to have had a very difficult upbringing as far as family life. They also both have families that are no starngers to LE (Keiosha's mom is currently serving a jail sentence - and was in jail when Keiosha went missing - for something unrelated).

Please check it out as Keiosha's case is getting hardly any attention. Here's her thread:

Just throwing this out there....the law in Alabama.

Persons under 21 years of age cannot own a pistol. 18 U.S.C. § 922.

I wonder where she got it?

It was a small caliber gun, a 25, iirc. She didn't get it 'for' Donnie. She claimed she got it in a 'trade'. How he ended up with it is one of the key pieces of circumstantial evidence that links her disappearance to him/his suicide/the sex crimes. MOO

Just wondering about something I read on the "Hometown Search..." website. One of the comments from Chessie indicated that both she and Scott Wood have hired P.I. I'm wondering Zeaux, have heard anything about this?

If true, I certainly hope something will be brought to light concerning Brittney. Also, Chessie seemed to suggest that the reason she's still in contact with WWH is because she's keeping her "enemies closer". Do you buy that?

I would like to believe Chessie, but unfortunately, I'm more prone to believe WH and according to him, Chessie's incredibly two faced and has no credibility.

Are you saying that Chessie and Scott hired a PI together or separately? Scott Wood....one of the uncles that has been arrested and charged with the sex crimes....the one that was so active in the search for Brittney in the beginning?

This is the first I've heard of them hiring PIs.

It's common sense that to try to achieve something by keeping your enemies close, you wouldn't put it on a public social media site! Duh!

AND...CW mentions RSW was in Tennessee when BW went missing. She's offered to take a polygraph? A new lead? Also, an odd mention that Baldwin County is on it?

Agree Zeaux - You don't announce on Facebook for your enemies to see that you're only keeping them close for a reason!!! Boy was that a smart move, NOT!

She tells Wendy Wood Holland that she believes her story, then tells the world she is keeping her enemies close, then circles back to Wendy to tell her that was just a ruse to get the focus off of her and back onto Brittney?

Maybe after she kicks some sand in his face and takes away his ball on the playground.

I think it has become far too important to the Wood family to prevent those who seek the truth from ever finding it and as an added bonus they get to enjoy taunting them like school children.

Many of us cannot stand bullies and can spot them from a mile away. So I am personally welcoming the challenge.

I haven't caught up on this thread yet, but did RSW hired a PI to help find BW??? I assumed he would be needing his money for a good attorney for the sex abuse charges against him.

That comment sounded weird...or untruthful to me.

I'm going to go on a limb here and throw out a possibility:

1. RWood has hired his own attorney for the sex crimes against him, this attorney will most likely drain his life savings. Although I hope that any funds he DOES have (collateral etc) will be divided amongst his victims in a civil suit.

Chessie probably attended some dysfunctional family meeting of the minds with Mindy, Wendy and herself. There they discussed how their brother has this awesome attorney (please note my sarcasm) and he, the attorney, has his own private investigator that is working to help make their client (RWood) look not guilty. So, Chessie gets in her head that this PI is working FOR the family when in fact, he's just working in conjunction with the atty her brother has hired.

This is JUST MY OPINION but with the amount of brain cells being rubbed together to form an alibi for Wendy, it would seem the same amount are being rubbed together to form how this lil' story.

Even Wendy can't keep her story straight and you would THINK this mess of a person would at least write her version of events down and learn to copy n' paste rather than winging it. But then again it wouldn't be quite as entertaining to see her hang herself publicly as she is now.
