One of the other posters (sorry sweets!I forgot your name) explained how her friends devised methods to keep the gig up. (heating it, oiling their leg to remove). I'm sure people have perfected this. Usually they know right away but there's a local case here (Kelly Armstrong) her bf is in jail for her murder and he was on in home (please read it to get an understanding i guess of how it works). Her body still hasnt' been found.

What was Derek carrying with him that he could stop to remove it when he is so close to where they are searching for him?

Who lets the police search a house with a meth lab? I see a Darwin award in their future.

I have to say I am actually shocked by Derek's latest stupidity but glad it out Brittney back in the news. How long is LE going to get away with not investigating Brittney's disappearance?

Thanks so much for pointing that out! It makes for more confusion when the players in the case have their names repeatedly misspelled....as if this case needs more confusion!

My computer corrects the spelling and since there's one Derek, I didn't think it would be a big heap of trouble. My bad!

So that answers how long it would take LE to be notified, which is pretty fast!!! My friend who slipped his off was over 7 years ago. Hopefully they updated them since then, but like the article above states, if they want them off, they'll get them off :-/ His wasn't tight at all and was a bigger contraption than those shown in pictures I have googled. It obviously didn't notify them of stretching either, b/c that's what he did.

Not sure I would describe it as "a big heap of trouble" but it does add to the confusion especially for any newcomers to the case/thread. Lately this thread has slowed down quite a bit and notice some new posters that are following Brittney's disappearance.
There are so many players that have similar names -Wendy/Mendy- same names for different people: Donnie/Donald/Paul/Nova - Scott/ Randall Scott - Dustin & Derek, and the many variations of spelling Brittney, not to mention all the other friends, cousins and uncles. Using their initials began blurring together as the list of players grew with the same last name.
If using their given names, I think (MOO) it is clearer to have them spelled correctly to avoid even more confusion.

So, if your friend were to have strayed outside his boundaries while wearing the monitor, what would've happened? Would LE have been instantly alerted?

Yes it does and short of having the Sheriff to post here himself I'm not sure how much more factual it could have been but that would also require credential verification.

I was referring to documentation that was suggested to have factual information about the events that lead up to Derek being a fugitive. All the MSM reports I've read have him living here and staying there. Was hoping for some clarification to get a better handle on what happened!

Not sure who was driving the car but the two women who were arrested at the meth house are Victoria Phillips and Kayln Majors.

Both mugshots and additional arrest information including charges, addresses, MSM reports, etc... are available with a simple Google search.
