So here's something to chew on. If Derek can flee on foot, after a car crash - hadn't (as far as we known) planned to run right then and for the last 48 or so hours go undetected... could Britney do the same? I'm only throwing it out there because typically people are going to get busted or turn themselves in if they are vastly unprepared but so far ...

I just am trying to picture this car crash and the chick fleeing and the cops grab her, he is still running and then what? The cops get in the car and go "Well, he's on the run!" and they go back to the station? They don't drive around? Helicopters aren't deployed for a fugitive on the run? Granted that's sorta dramatic but lord knows it's election season and people want their merits for saving the community. This entire case is WEIRD

The phrase that keeps coming to my mind is" smoke and mirrors".

Everyone knows that from the start that i have felt and voiced that BW was /is some sort of "witness" in the case. Lately I was beginning to waver thinking maybe she is a veritable missing person in danger.

Now, forgive me (JMOO) I am wondering if she ( bw) and now he ( dw) are just on the lam & off the grid ( setting up a new lab someplace)
Maybe if she (BW)was on the lam/runaway- LE didn't care before because she was a small player in the scheme of all this. But I think maybe LE may begin to care - soon - because, now a large number oftheir percentage of alleged dealers, child rapists in this case are now either dead or " at large"

Was DW really the male....in that car ? was the ankle bracelet off already? and someone else...ran from that car....dropped it in that location? and DW had already hours/ days lead time to get away?are they all chasing their tails cause DW was actually already long gone?

It is a document put out by BCSO...not a MSM report. I believe it is where the news link iSleuth posted got their information. The source is against TOS but I'm sure it can easily be searched online. When there is an official piece of information, I tend to believe the statements from a BCSO release than from one that a reporter has interpreted for their news station.

There is obviously a misunderstanding because the BCSO FB page is fine to link, as are any other official LE/Court pages. It is done in nearly every case here at WS. Mug shots, prior arrest records, court dockets, etc.

The only pages that are not permitted that I am aware of in this case are the various Facebook pages dedicated to Brittney (and there are quite a few).

I keep reading these continued veiled references from a few posters on this thread - "unfortunately I can't link it because it is against TOS". Per the example above, that is misleading. As far as other statements, if you have info you can't link, then it shouldn't be referenced here period.

As far as searching isleuthing. I try to stay off the FB pages totally because I don't want people on those pages to ID ...me. ( paranoid)

I find it very fruitful to do a straight forward google search, and type in key words that I want to find, For example in this case i typed in...something like
oct 2012 updates...D W or Derek wood missing, and or, on the run, Alabama etc..

And then, I scroll all the way through the pages and links to see where facts and rumors are appearing. YOu can see (our forums etc) and local, state and national news listings stand out easily.

This method comes from doing a lot of Historical research, and helping students research/find " best Evidence" too. Surprisingly helpful.

WS is not going to be used as a vehicle to drive traffic to any them. They are full of innuendo, infighting between the families and they each have their own agendas.

It's a "no" on the wildlife conservation dept. getting word out to hunting camps. I know, it was a long shot.

Someone in that family that was part of that vicious cycle needs to break the cycle. Whether it's one of the charged or one of the sisters. One of them has to say enough is enough.

So, Derek has had access to phones all weekend? Im sure he's holed up in one place with some chick, partying till either the drugs run out or she gets spooked enough to take him to turn himself in. Sorta like the addict before rehab "One more time..this is the last time ever".

I think he'll have to serve out any time that was suspended (if there is any) and wont' be released at all now until the case for sodomy is heard and tried ,provided he can be released or is found not guilty or with time served. I don't know the law there, or even the specifics of his case other than the charge. I would venture to guess years will be added promptly, and he'll be tried for this separately, as he did lead cops on a high speed chase, escaped etc etc. If he wasn't a felon before, he is now.

Here is what I find strange. It was reported yesterday, Oct 15 that Derek had been contacting family members all weekend.

Then today, Oct 16th, Fox News has Chessie pleading for him to call her. Don’t tell me that she wasn’t on the list of family members that he has already called …

He was probably calling around for money, rather than arranging to be turned in. I doubt if he is a shelter in the woods - someone is harbouring him.

Chessie Wood made a plea to our cameras Monday night, asking her son t call her and turn himself over to authorities.
“I want him to call me and let me come get him and turn him in. That's what I want,” said Wood. “I'm scared. I'm worried about him.”

Absolutely!!!! I meant of wrongdoing in the much broader sense. Even knowingly allowing it ALL to go on. Someone in the family has to take the family back.
