Hoping something positive happens for Brittney's case today.

Baldwin/Mobile County locals: please write down these judges names, register to vote (if you haven't already), and when election time rolls around (not sure how it goes in AL, but judges are chosen every 4 years where I live in Louisiana) vote for the challenger. Also remind the public of how low the bail was set for these offenders for such horrific crimes, whether it be your friends, family, co-workers, letter to the editor; whatever you can to get them off the bench. The problem with local elections is that voter turnout is much lower than national or state elections (unless held at the same time) and many don't show up so the incumbent stays on the bench in some cases for the rest of their lives. Get involved! Local elections affect your day to day life far more than national ones do! Let's get these scumbags out off the bench.
Although I so hope that the FBI sniffs a whiff of corruption and takes over the case and removes them sooner. Still don't know why Mobile and Baldwin Counties are not accepting state or federal assistance w the investigations. Somebody in a position of power is hiding something.

I can possibly understand a judge giving them bail for one charge, but Dustin has MULTIPLE charges. I don't care if it happened in two counties or not, that is beyond wrong that he is out free while his victims have to continue to live with what happened to them. He should NEVER be able to be around a child, until proven innocent (and I don't see that happening). How can Mendy stay with him with their child in the home?

The simple question for the Judge should be, would I allow this person to baby sit my kids. If the answer is no, don't let him back out, if you let him back out, make the bail higher and for heaven's sake, DO NOT ALLOW him to be around kids, family or not.

Well said, reedus. Just plain old common sense. Should be a no-brainer, right? So why isn't he behind bars?

I agree COMPLETELY, but common sense is a dying thing in our current society esp LE. Lock up the drug addicts for 10 years, the burglars for 12, and in some cases the pedophiles get 2yrs/5probation. With charges like his and his ability/resources for flight (and ankle mint or violations)I would set bail at 5m. That's just me though. I have WestLaw on my computer and I don't see how Mrs DH is not receiving conspiracy charges; she was an accessory after the fact and didn't go to LE and knowingly let the crimes continue. That is far from child endangerment.

Many cases have me disgusted with LE right now.. but none more than Brittney's. Its mind boggling.

Ditto, sadnpod. I fume over this case. Brittney and her daughter deserve better than this.

I can't believe we don't even know what the dogs did or did not alert to (at least, I've never heard or read anything about it). That would be a great starting point in helping to find out where Brittney could be.

This whole thing is frustrating. So much has happened surrounding the disappearance of Brittney, yet it seems nothing will be done. It feels to me as if certain people are just waiting for us to forget about it.

No doubt! We here are more vocal in our want for searches or justice for Brittney than anyone eles.

While I'm eager for wendy's day in court, I'm nervous how irate I'm gonna be if nothing comes of it. Can I hope at least that she might be ordered some family therapy session w/ her children?? Were all of her children removed from her custody? I thought that the kids were not in the home but i don't know if that's my wishful thinking or fact.

Bumping for Brittney! It does'nt take long to slip to 2nd page. I wish there was something happening to talk about. I wish Brittney's family would make a public plea or search something to bring the publics attention back to the fact that Brittney is missing. Couple that w/ the fact that multiple family members are being brought up on charges for molesting one of her other famliy members, you'd think the whole town would be all over this!! Or at least Brittney's closest immediate family.?? Isn't there an aunt or a concerned grand parent that is willing to stick their face out there and denounce what is happening in that family??

I don't think they are willing to stick their necks out to help because they all have their own skeletons that they are desperately trying to keep in the closet. JMO

Seems like more times that not it involves drugs in some way. If it involves drugs, I wouldn't be shocked if the Holland/Wood family is somehow linked in. All just speculation on my part.

This is one of the many things I find so incredibly sad about this case. Even in the worst of families, there is usually an aunt, an uncle, a grandmother for a young woman to turn to. Not for Brittney. This carp runs so deeply in this family, if they aren't directly involved, they have their own secrets. I mean seriously, if you can't depend on your own grandmother to protect you, then who the hell do you have? So many women need to face the tough questions.. is that man really interested in YOU? OR your daughter? And now the world is so sick... you have to ask if he's really interested in your grandaughter. PFFFFFFFFFFFFT.

Thank you Sad! And yes it's true so many men get attached to young single mothers to molest their child. There are signs but they choose to ignore them bc they finally found a "father" for their children.
As for anyone stepping up? What's that saying again.. Right... The family that PREYS together stays together for generations
