I'm looking for actual quotes regarding Brittney's visit to Donnie's house. Feel free to add any you might find. Thanks.

JANE VELEZ-MITCHELL
Young Mom Vanishes after Visiting Uncle
Aired June 11, 2012

VELEZ-MITCHELL: I`m going to throw that same question out to Chessie Wood, because you`re Brittany Wood`s mom. We were having audio problems. Chessie, what`s going on here?

WOOD: Well, I do not believe they have a relationship. He was married to my sister. And he was -- he was -- my son has even went to their house a lot.

My sister was at that house with Donnie the Thursday night, that would be June 1st. So we don`t know if she even made it to Don`s. She was not actually seen with Donnie. The reason we`re searching that area is because her phone was pinged there.

Now if it had some relation -- something to do with my brother-in- law`s suicide, we don`t know. The Mobile Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff`s Department is taking care of that. We as a family and a community is just searching for Brittany.

"She walks out my door May 30, Her uncle commits suicide two days later. He's the last one she's seen with," said Wood.Brittney's mother believes foul play can be linked back to when Brittney's uncle Donald Holland was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on June 1. He died in the hospital June 4.

Wood's family said Brittney was last seen heading to Baldwin County and the Styx River area with Hollandhttp://www.fox10tv.com/dpp/news/loca...-investigation

Wood's mother feels Brittney was abused

Chessie Wood believes her daughter Brittney knew arrests were coming in a sex crimes investigation before she disappeared.

She also believes her daughter was sexually abused by her now-dead uncle, Donald Holland, Sr.

"I was told by authorities that Brittney was one of his victims," said Chessie Wood.

sbm

Wood believes Holland held the key to her daughter's disappearance.

"I believe Brittney was trying to protect some people in the family she loved and she paid the ultimate price for it," Wood said.

I thinkthey were told by the person that turned in Uncle Donnie!
I dont think it was anything Chessie didnt already know

JMO

This is why im thinking maybe her family dissappeared her

If Donnie didnt kill himself Would the outcome have been diff?
Would Britt be a missing person or would she have NOT been reported missing .

what if she was to be a witness against Uncle DH DK RSW and her very own brother

Eileen730, I never thought of this in terms of Brittney being warned to stay clear of uncle dh. Chessie may have been doing exactly what a loving mother would do and I wasn't even considering that. Shame on me and thank you for pointing that out!

I was so glad to see Britts case back in the first page but I am getting confused and as someone that has followed since the start I imagine anyone new to this case, just popping in and reading this last page is probably confused too.

Are you saying you don't believe any of the info from the media or verified insiders? What did the verified insiders do to cause this mistrust? I think I have missed something and if it is not against TOS I'd like to know why all the information we have so far is suddenly being discounted.

As far as I am aware, the media has said several times that the gun was Britts and that was confirmed here by an insider. What specific reason do you have to toss that info aside and come to the conclusion that it probably wasn't hers? Also are you guys suggesting that Chessie was lying about Britt leaving to meet DH? Why do you think that? Where do you believe she was going and who with or do you think she never left Chessies and that Chessie holds the key to solving all this?

Excuse my many questions, I am just trying to understand why the sudden shift in things here, I feel like I have missed something! Thanks to anyone who can answer me!

Yes.

Lol. I appreciate the timelines linked (above), and I have read each and every post on these upstairs threads, plus some downstairs.

But still, yes, confused.

Did anyone find an answer to Eileen's great question that follows? TIA

Who was the last NON family member to see Brit and when?

These are from the latest news articles. The first one makes it sound like friends were the last to see her. No direct quote though.

"Wood was last seen on May 30 when she told friends she was going to visit her uncle, Donald Holland, at a home where he was staying near Styx River in south Baldwin County. She was 19 at the time."

And this one is similarly vague, again no direct quote:

"If they don't find anything, they will return to the Styx River Road area of Baldwin County where family members believe Brittney was last seen."

ETA: I found a LE statement.

Posted: Friday, June 8, 2012 8:50 am | Updated: 9:32 am, Wed Jun 20, 2012.

"In an interview last week, Cpl. Christopher Levy, public information officer with the Mobile Police Department, said that the parents of Brittney Nicole Wood reported her missing on June 2.
According to her parents, Levy said, she left their Tillman’s Corner home on May 30 and said she was going to a friend’s house. When they had not heard from her by June 2, they called and reported her missing."

No one saw DH pick her up
Who saw her at Styx river?
They keep saying she was last seen yet dont ever say by whom!

These are snippets from a lengthy article. I'm sorry if it appears choppy but I needed to keep it short while including LE's quotes. I remember some posters questioning using Lagniappemobile.com as a MSM source because it's more of a weekly advertisement paper, but I'll go ahead and post this as it does contains direct LE quotes.

"MPD Cpl. Chris Levy said he couldn’t go into too much detail out of concern for the department’s investigative techniques, but Wood’s family reported her missing June 2 after she "packed her bags and walked out of the house” May 30.

much more at link.

"She left with personal items with the intent of being gone at least overnight and that was not unusual,” Levy said. "How long she intended to leave, there is no way to know until we find her. She is an adult and we receive adult missing persons reports all the time, and what you have to know is that adults are allowed to leave, and if they don’t want to be found that’s okay too.”"

sbm

"Neither the MPD or the BCSO would confirm the rumor that Wood had gone to visit her uncle the night she disappeared, but BCSO spokesperson Maj. Anthony Lowery said a three-day search in the Styx River area earlier this month was related to her cell phone records.

"We believe her cell phone went to that area,” Lowery said. "We don’t have any information to believe she was with the cell phone at the time.”

sbm

""All we reported to the family is that we had information through our investigation that puts [Wood] in the Grand Bay area or south Mobile County at or around same time [Holland] is committing suicide,” Levy said"

sbm

""We’ve got some incomplete answers,” he said, adding that the family did in fact hear from Brittney between the time she left her home and the time she was reported missing.

"That wasn’t originally reported. So there has been some back and forth. Some answers haven’t been entirely accurate,” Levy said."

After re-reading some of the early articles, I got to wondering whether or not that gun was really BW’s or if it just became convenient to assign ownership of the gun to BW since she was probably no longer here to say differently and obviously DH wouldn’t be contradicting the statement.

Additionally, that whole story about how "Brittney’s relatives told deputies that the teen normally only had two bullets in her gun” initially and continues to scream out to me as a crock of ****. JMHO.

Also, an interesting quote from the above link follows - wish a seeker of truth in statements would analyze the many strange statements made to date in this case.
"We believe we have missed something that is hollering our name, and maybe it was so obvious,” said [CW].

'We as a family do not see how she had the means to run,' said CW. ' We have covered every friend, every one of them are accounted for.....'

.........it was family Brittney went to, not friends.

I decided to go back and read the first thread!
knowing now what I did not know then shed a diff light on alot of the info.

Look at all the conflicting stories Chessie has come out with.
Look at the MESS all the family is in and the horrific charges.

Yet not one family member chose to bring it up as a reason this girl was missing!
They chose to fight with each other like the Hatfields and McCoys on Facebook.
Tried hack into her phone.
WWH saying she and the boys were with DH and never saw BW there.
Yet Chessies says she was last seen with DH

I believe they all know what happed to BW.

Exactly!

And if i recall the only friend i ever remember saying anything about Brit was that girl on FB that said her mom would lock her out of the house and all the nice stuff about her home life!

that was the only friend i ever saw speak about her.

This is what im sayng just because her phone pinged there does not mean she was!

And Why wouldnt they report to le that she called them?
Because she didnt! but there was record of a phone call from her phone to her family so they said it was her . they never said anything about the call till LE got the phone records and then they had to come up with her phone call to explain a call to them from her phone. I think Wendy has her phone!

Are we or are we not allowed to discuss FB?

If so, i have plenty to say concerning her friends.

I am totally confused as to what is okay here, can someone enlighten me?
